Battery takes hours to charge

My girlfriend recently got a replacement OV from Virgin. It's running on 2.2.2, so it's one of the new phones, and it takes forever to fully charge.

If she plugs it in at dead or near-dead at 8pm, it's still not fully charged by 4am when she wakes up for work. Mine, OTOH, charges fully in about 2 hours. Does she have a bad phone or is it a bad battery?

Have you tried swapping the batteries between her's and your's to rule out the battery?

Have you tried swapping the charger between her's and your's to rule out the charger?

Have you tried swapping the charging cable between her's and your's to rule out the cable?

Heh, no, no, and no

She has a spare battery and we're testing that one out, but it's fully charged so she has to kill it first. We'll try chargers and cables next

Is yours running IHO ROM? There's code in there that makes charging faster than stock.

No, I was running Harmonia 1.5, on my old handset, and now I'm on 1.7. But between Friday and yesterday I was running stock on a brand new phone.
