Battery warrantied?

Is the M8 battery covered by warranty as well? I did a warranty roulette due to another issue, and my certified used M8 they sent back has an abused battery. I immediately noticed reduced battery life compared to my original one, so I'm debating trying to send this back.

If it's not covered, any idea how much it'll cost to have them replace the battery and send back (not simply sending me another certified used phone)?

The replacement unit should have its own warranty, and yes the battery should be covered under it.
Usually its up to them to decide if they want to replace the phone or just the battery.
