Yet another issue with this phone (sigh).
Battery went to 0%, plugged in the charger into phone from wall outlet, and I get this screen which I can't power off to get out of: ""Firmware Update: Do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete."

Welcome to Android Central! Ugh, how new is the phone? Can you get a replacement, either from the store or from LG?

It sounds like it could be an issue with the USB port or the cable--it thinks it's connected to the computer via USB, rather than a wall outlet. Also thinks it's getting signals about firmware update being sent over USB?

This happened to me also.

This happened, when i plugged the phone to computer when it was trying to shut itself down, apparently connecting to charger does the same. AFAIK no firmware update was going on.

The phone was all dead, except the screen.

I detached battery and reattached it. It is now working fine.
