My neighbor works for BB. He says the word is that they recieved only a small supply of grey units and that the next shpiment is 1-8-2012 delivery.

I am in the same boat. Ordered the 32 grey back on 12/02 and now backordered. I was able to "convince" a rep to upgrade my shipping to next day for free (but I have to get it reimbursed after shipment ) and a $25 gift card, but cannot get any information.

I have heard that BB will get 2 or 3 more shipments before the end of the year, but also heard it would be 2012 (which seems to be the retail date), but other than that no one knows anything. My order did move to fulling today, but I think that's a glitch with the update shipping.

If you want to vent here is the guy that thanks you every time you call Best Buy...

Called my local BB and they said that stores wouldnt be getting it till January... bummer. Should have ordered it when I had the chance with Amazon, now they say shipping could be from Dec 26 - Feb 7

I called them up after they back ordered mine and after my moaning and boasting how i would cancel my order the rep got me next day shipping and said it might arrive Friday if it doesn't im canceling and will most likely look at other tablets...(This is a Christmas gift so it cant wait.)

I canceled mine. I pre ordered mine Dec 2 so that i would have it by Christmas. That's ridiculous, I have been on back order for 3 days and finally received an email this morning. If i have to wait to get a prime, then Ill get it somewhere else or at least in person not have to pay 32 dam dollars to wait to even longer to get it.

BB still has me backordered, and I tried calling customer service, was on hold for 10 minutes and gave up. Since then, I went out and bought 2 Kindle Fires, one for me and my wife. I love this thing (as well as my wife). But, here is what happened last night. I went to Office Depot to order some paper, checked for the Prime, and ordered one from them on the spot with delivery on Thursday! I'm not holding my breath, but if this does happen I will let you know.

I just chatted with Office Depot online. At first she checked her stock and said they didn't have any Primes in stock but then I asked her to check my order status and she confirmed it would be delivered at that time. She said she was 100% certain. Take that however you wish.

Well, just got off being on the phone for 40 minutes with a BB rep. I am now being told that the inventory they have of the primes are gone and I will not see my 32gig gray by xmas. They are blaming Asus for not sending the amount they were told they were going to get and had on preorder. She said it could be up to 30 days, but she stated this is a default statement they have to say. It will really depend on when they are shipped more by asus. Take this for what it is worth. It is the fourth different story I have got in the past 3 days. Don't know what to believe anymore.

I don't know if this works, but if you go on through that and add it to your cart "for future delivery", it still shows a 12-21 delivery date.

I ordered on the basis of beggars can't be choosers, but if you look on the product description tab it lists it as a model TF201-B-GR, which I assume stands for Gray.

I spoke to a Gamestop employee/district manager. Now, this is a company that knows how to preorder things (Best Buy and Amazon could use some pointers from these guys). He stated that the tablet will be in on Friday. He stated that Asus ran into shipment issues and they will definately be in on Friday, at Gamestop at least. This is another possible time that our tablets could be released to us from Best Buy. I hope that all is well with the tablet, I have until 1/24 to return it, so I am fine if I have to return it and wait for the Lenovo tablet! Please update us on your tablet shipment and arrival, with proof of arrival/mail. Anyone can come here and say it was shipped, but without proof, it is like it never happened.

I haven't heard from many new people getting shipping confirmations from BB. Have they dried up? It seemed like each day there was a new wave of shipments. Maybe BB has shipped all they have?
