Beats Audio vs. other Sound Enhancer setting

havent done much listening via headphones, but when I did, it sounded amazing through
my HD 280 pros. Im not an audiophile, but these sound fantastic. also, the music is louder via the LTE than my wimax evo FWIW.

FWIW, i just found the EQ setting on my xoom and i will add there is a huge jump when i turn it on and pick a setting to my liking. I guess that is kind of a knock on beats if stock EQ can make a huge difference too.

Using PowerAmp, if you combine Beats Audio (UrBeats setting) with the Bass Extreme setting within PowerAmp, it sounds amazing. I'm a hip-hop fan to the fullest, so I love the bass effect. But for some, it might be overdoing it. I think the HTC music app is great, a big improvement from past versions, but I've had PowerAmp since the OG Evo and can never go too long without coming back to it. The UI is great and its very easy to get cover art and such. I've got about 2,500 songs on my 32GB card in the EVOLTE. For the first time ever, I prefer my phone over my ZuneHD.

Is there any way to change the Beats Audio settings other than thought the stock music app? I had deleted the stock player as I use PowerAmp instead, so I had no idea, before reading this thread, that other settings were available. I reinstalled the stock player, and the urBeats setting does sound much better. I'd like to be able to lose the stock player altogether, but I guess I will have to keep if there is no other way to change the setting.

The stock settings also change the way PoweAmp sounds. Play music with PoweAmp and switch the beats audio setting back and forth and you'll hear a difference.

Whoa, never knew about the Beats Ur Beats or Beats Solo settings. Love when I find new things on this phone!!!

I've been listening to a lot of rap, RnB, and pop music since I got my EVO LTE and I find myself liking the "Sweetener" sound enhancer over the other settings, including Beats Audio. I used various earphones and headphones and "Sweetener" always came out sounding better.

What about for you guys? Which Sound Enhancer sounds better to you for the type of music you listen to?

Beats audio sound awesome on my car (bose system) and I use newer in ear Bose headphones which imo sound better than my wife's beats headphone
