I read a lot of people complaining about beats audio in htc one. But I love it! It messes up vocals in some songs when I plug in a pair of headphones but I found the added base amazing especially when playing games and watching movies.

I had the HOX+ (which has Beats Audio) and I have to say that I miss it.

I love beats. Best audio for YouTube, Spotify etc. I haven't heard complaining

In general I'm not a fan of Beats or any other processing. I turn it off for music listening through my Shure earbuds. When listening through the speakers or when using the phone on speaker phone I keep it on. Music through the speakers sounds much more full with Beats enabled and while the effect is much less when on speaker phone I think it still makes a difference.

I leave Beats on but still don't think it's all that great. Not bad, but nothing that I find particularly exciting, either.

Frankly, I'd rather they omitted Beats and, instead, provided a number of preset EQ settings much like is on the iPhone. While you couldn't change any of the parameters, if offered enough choices where one could easily tailor the sound profile to suit their tastes. With the One it's either Beats on or Beats off. Not a big deal, but certainly more options the better.

I leave it on mostly because sound through the speakers are better with it on.

With headphones on, I find the bass overdone and in some cases muddy, but can live with it in short doses.

I've noticed that Beats Audio plays well with the EQ in Poweramp...You can get the bass from Beats, (turning down the bass in the PA EQ) and the highs from the Poweramp EQ...Sounds goooood through earbuds.

I like beats on the one better than the previous models. It's volume is louder than any other phone I've had. It sounds clean at high volume. I prefer it to stay on and prefer it over other phones eq settings. The stock head phones are way to bassy but other pairs sound great. My only gripe is that when transferring music it needs to be converted by the phone or else ull get a clipping sound every now and then.

from what ever phone I feel like using today.

I absolutely love the speakers on the One, it is one of the main features of the phone that I will miss when I return it sadly. I played a song for a co-worker and her mouth dropped when she heard the speakers. Watching videos is also great. Wish every phone had this!!
