Beautiful Widgets Update - any errors?

hi everyone!

I got an update notification for BW but when I read the reviews there seem to be lots of people that now have location errors since they updated.

Has anyone here with a Tbolt installed the update? if so, have you had any issues?

I'd like to update this app but am leary.

Not gonna upgrade here as I don't care for the added (new) permissions which are supposedly for the new Web Skin Market (not interested) and C2DM (whatever that is):

- Discover known accounts
- Receive data from Internet
- Set wallpaper

I've been having location errors since yesterday now, but I haven't rebooted yet. I think I'll try that now...

Think I will put in my two cents. I had tried BW when I first got my TB in August. I didn't like it at all. I have
Fancy Widgets and never have an issue with it. Its awesome. I like the different skins and weather skins offered. I like to change my home screen a lot and being able to customize is great. I am a Gemini and I do get bored with the same old so having the ability to change things is great for me. It really is better than BW

I tried Fancy Widgets (free/locked version), but didn't see many skins I liked (you can view all the skins in the free/locked version, but can only install a couple without paying for the unlocked version). I couldn't find one similar to the NakedAlloy skin that I really like and have been using in Beautiful Widgets for a while. Anyway, today I installed the latest version of Beautiful Widgets (4.05 released April 5) and so far all is well, works without issue as it did before.

I finally updated it - no problems so far. I still cannot figure out how to add more locations for weather.

Once you're in the app, hit your menu button to bring up the app's options, then select settings, then Set Location. Hit the + symbol at the top, uncheck "Geolocation", then click in the box above to enter a location (name, zip code, etc.). This will add more locations that you can then swipe laterally in the app to see.

I just dumped Beautiful Widgets after this past week's update to version 4.10. The update screwed up some widget layouts and transparency, not to mention requests more permissions (ex. control Near Field Communication - new NFC sharing feature which isn't fully explained). It has quite a laundry list of permissions now that just don't sit well with me for what the app is supposed to be. I noticed they're scrambling to fix their blunder by releasing two updates in the last couple days (4.10.1 and 4.10.2), although many are still complaining it didn't fully fix things.

Anyway, I've moved on to a much better weather/widgets app in BeWeather & Widgets Pro (currently only .99 cents). It has much better features and a great weather source (Weather Underground!). It's really a full blown weather app with widget capability. And the kicker; it can use Beautiful Widget's Super Clock skins, so I was able to keep my favorite NakedAlloy skin.

Beautiful's update added some spam to my phone uninstalled it and let it stay off.
