Beautiful Widgets weather download - not

I use Beautiful Widgets home weather and this morning, Beautiful Widgets put up a screen message "Download required. Beautiful Widgets needs to connect to the Internet and download 1020kb for the forecast animations. Do you want to proceed now?"

If I click "yes", a download bar with "0/100" appears with the word "Downloading..." above it. Then nothing happens. It just stays on the screen until I click cancel. This sequence has happened several times so far, with no action. And, yes, there IS an active internet connection.

I even went to the Market looking for a possible update, but nothing there for Beautiful Widgets. Hmmm.....

After I posted this, I noticed the time clock on the Home Weather was the right weather part but had DX stock numbers for the time. Checked the weather forecast and there was no icon. Then it force closed. Turned off/on and all better now.

My X spends the night on a charger in an unheated bedroom. I have a feeling the very COLD night weather we've been having affects how the X loads in the morning. Maybe it needs a tad of warmth before all is OK. I know the BB Storms were balky when cold. At any rate, the issue is resolved ... for now.

The X was released in July. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed cold weather affecting performance, now that winter is approaching.
