been getting vd update notifications

So right now in on vd running nROM 1.5.2 VC. i upgraded to vd a while ago but startimg earlier today i have been getting notifications to upgrade to vd. has anyone else had this happen to them or know what causes it. Id think that maybe its because the ROM in using is for vc but i never had this happen before today but have been running nROM since i first upgraded to vd

It is because the ROM you are using is based on VC. For the purposes of whether you get bugged about an OTA update, it doesn't matter what radio you are actually running. All that matters is the fingerprint in your build.prop, which is directly related to which OS release your ROM is based off of.

The reason you haven't seen the OTA notice until now is the VD release was first available to LG Software Updater over a week before it became available OTA and even after it becomes available OTA, it takes up to 4 days for all units to get the notice. Realistically you probably could have gone almost 2 weeks without being bugged. It wasn't something you did or changed recently. It is just the way the timing worked out.

uberjam - I am running the same thing you are and had same situation

was running V9 - upgraded to VD though LG Updater, then flashed
nRom 1.5.2 - VC version - and running great except got bugged about OTA update.

I have Root Explorer - so went into the /cache and moved the zip onto my SDCard (just to save a copy)

Someone else posted a fix, and as weird as it sounds, it worked.

When the OTA anouncement comes up - choose it so it gives a description, then pull the battery out.

Yea - WTF I thought - but it works! - I take no credit - someone else posted this info in another thread.

Have not been bugged with any more update notifications yet.

same here but with lego v2. i guess the question is are the people running TR that's actually built for VD getting any notification...and if not then we'll just have to wait until our respective roms get updated

I am on ThundeROM 1.8.2, just started getting the notifications.

No nags for me...I'm on TR 1.8.2; ZVD.
