Behavior prior to boot loop.

I have s/n 505 but have not experienced any of the boot loop issues i have been reading about (knock on wood).

What kind of behavior are you noticing before the dreaded boot loop occurs and your phone is bricked?

Recently my phone is getting very hot causing the battery to drain much faster. (I am an MM.)

If my phone does go into boot loop will i receive a replacement phone from at ATT on the spot? I don't have a backup phone.

My phone does this with certain apps. Like CNN and sometimes it seems like the GPS gets stuck or something and drains the battery down. I have to reboot the phone to stop whatever is happening.

There is no known behavior as a precursor. It just starts out of the blue. My recommendation is to begin take LG Backups on weekly basis and make sure you copy them off of your phone. Sure boot loop may never happen to you, but if it does you'll be happy you took backups.

Wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me. I checked my phone, set it down next to me. Went to check it again a few minutes later and it wouldn't boot up at all.

If you have insurance, ATT may be able to give you a phone same-day. If not, they'll probably do what VZW did for me: Ship a new one (2-days is what they told me).

My phone was basically working perfectly prior to the boot loop.

For me it was a very hot day and the g4 was exposed to high temp prior to the bootloop
