Being asked for exchange password

Suddenly, when I try to check my email on Outlook on my Moto G5 I'm being asked for my Exchange Password. I have no memory of ever having set up an Exchange account. The Outlook Support tells me I can get my password from my email provider, but I know my password for my email provider and Exchange won't accept it. I tried uninstalling Outlook and reinstalling but that didn't work. I can't find a Microsoft Exchange site where I can get my password. This is really really frustrating. I'm considering just downloading another email app. Suggestions? Thanks.
