Won't recognize SD card

Galaxy A14 5G.....I did an update on my phone and it said I would have to reformat my SD card because I did not take it out it before doing update and that would delete all my files on my SD card. Instead I turned off phone, took out SD card of phone, transferred SD files to my computer, but now when I put files back on SD card and put it back in my phone, my phone will not recognize my SD card. any ideas?

funny thing is I tried another sd card and it recognized it. but the one i'm trying to get to work still shows files when i put in my computer

Did you try reformatting the card using your phone, moving the card to the PC again, and then copying the files back from the PC to the SD card?
