The Notes have sold a few million devices, BUT it is very much still a niche market. Nexus phones are reference devices for the many millions of ~5" screen that dominate flagship sales.

OK but I don't see why there can't be both a 5" nexus phone and a 6" nexus phablet. Consumers have increasingly shown an interest in bigger and bigger screens. Heck even Apple is finally giving in to a bigger screen.

Nice. Also based on the GFX Bench results , better to want the N6 and the OPO. I can't stand LG and Sammy phones and on the HTC the first thing I would want is S-Off.

I base my future predictions off of historical events and logic. All of which would lead one to believe the 5.2" QHD device in the Antutu benchmark above is a lot more likely to be the Nexus 6 or Google Shamu (not Moto mind you...that was pieced together in other "leaks").

Side note. If you really want to get into historical events and logic, if there was a 5.2" Nexus coming out, it would be called the Nexus 5 (2014), not the Nexus 6.

I think Google would name the phone whatever they wanted and if they want to name it the Nexus 6, they would.

Also as for the Antutu leak, those things can be faked pretty easily and while this specs do sound great, it sounds more like an Android fan wish list rather than the legit specs of the phone.

Historically -

Nexus 4 is in the 4 inch range.
Nexus 5 is in the 5 inch range.
Both Nexus 7s are in the 7 inch range.
Nexus 10 is in the 10 inch range.

True- Google can call it whatever they want. But based on history, a 5.2 inch Nexus should be called Nexus 5.

But the Nexus 4 was a 4.7" screen which is definitely closer to the 5" range than the 4" range, so that theory doesn't work. If Google want to call their 5.2" Nexus phone the Nexus 6, then they can do that and don't need an explanation for doing so.

Almost positive. Will confirm, though.

Maybe Google learned from their mistakes and choose Moto for the Nexus so we could get it on all carriers.

well the gnex was made by samsung and that was on verizon. I think it was a dispute between google and verizon over pushing updates and verizon's controlling behavior that kept future nexi off of verizon.

...closer to the 5" range is still further than actually being in the 4" range.

..and I already said Google can call it whatever they want. Doesn't mean it makes sense historically though.

Kinda, sorta true. The Verizon Moto X started receiving the full steam OTA roll-out first, but the Nexus 4 had images available from Google a few days earlier.
