Beside mode like Blackberry

I just switched from a Blackberry Torch to a GS3. Is there something similar to Blackberry's "bedside" mode where you can have a clock at night but not alerting you to any calls or messages? If so, do you need a dock for this to function rather than just the micro USB charger?

There is the built in Desk clock inside default Clock app. I don't think it'll turn off notifications, but you can always just mute the calls/messages with the volume rocker.

Check the play store for an app called "Bedside".

you can download a free app called:

Simple Sound Profiles..

it lets you have as many profiles as you want.. and u can create a widget for each profile on your home screen..
