I've been using the stock android browser that came with the phone since I got it. It's alright but I've read there are many better web browsers available. What the best overall web browser and what's the difference between a mini browser and a normal one such as dolphin HD vs dolphin mini?

I prefer firefox, it mimics what im using now (addons and all) and just seems to flow better with the way ive used my smartphone so far

I'm using Dolphin HD, but I don't think it would matter much for me so long as the browser has the capability to "act as a desktop browser" AKA not redirect me to the mobile version of every website in existence.

Despite having the data connection on the phone, I mostly use it for google searches, then youtube/netflix/other media

Dolphin HD until ICS finally comes out and I'll probably switch back to the stock one since it has tabs and all that. I like the Honeycomb browser and it's just an update to that.

The stock browser (which is basically Chrome Mobile) has worked very well for me. So I have not really had a reason to switch.

I do have Firefox installed, and it does work well. Chrome to Phone will even work with it.

I tried dolphin on my Inc and liked it for a long time, then someone posted a thread like this and got my juices flowing. I had just taken for granted that I had something that worked and that I knew and settled. I looked around and tried a handful of other browsers and ended up really liking Miren. When I upgraded it didn't seem to be available in my searches. IDK if it was 2.3.4 or Rezound compatibility issues that didn't let it appear as available in the market, but I had MyBackUp Pro and loaded the APK from there. It works fine, as far as I can tell, just like it always did. I just looked and it shows up in my app list, but when I search for it I get everyone else's browser, but no Miren.???

Here is a link to look at it if anyone is curious.
Miren Browser (Android) - Download

It got 10 out of 10 stars in one rating, but still is only the 4th most downloaded browser.

I've tried Opera, and Firefox, but I've never tried Miren, I guess I'll have to give it a test drive.

dolphin hd is good, but I think x-scope is the best. Biggest thing it does over other browsers is instant back and forward. If you buy it, it comes with a file manager.
