I'm sure this has been asked tons of times, but i couldn't seem to find a recent topic.

Out of all the GSM android phones to date, which phone has the best specs?

(Not counting the EVO 4G or the Droid X since the screens are huge and is too big for my liking;))

Im thinking the HTC Desire, but its not out in NA yet, so that doesn't count...

P.S - I'm on Rogers, so any GSM phone will do (as long as its not AWS) :D

P.S.S - Is this even the right forum? lol

Well the Evo and the Droid X aren't GSM, so it doesn't matter anyway.

Yeah, its Either the Desire, Milestone, Or N1 for the best choices

yea the milestone is way past its prime in my opinion.

And i guess ill wait for the Desire, or pick up the N1 depending on if tbe Desire comes to Telus like rumored.

And those are really the only GSM phones? America needs to get out of CDMA so i can buy their phones!

Well, there are a few others...

HTC Magic, Hero, Legend, the myTouch 3G variants (but they don't count for you); the Samsung Galaxy series, from the original (i7500) to the newer (i5700) Spica and the Galaxy S as well; the Motorola Cliq; Acer has one or two; the Sony Ericsson X10 family (normal, mini, mini pro)...

...just to name a few of the better known models, I'm sure I missed some. Google wasn't kidding when they said more than 60 models! BTW, I really hope that Motorola keeps up the fine habit of making GSM variants from the Droid phones, I would really like to see the Milestone 2/X (I guess they might call it that?) pop up on this side of the pond later this year, by the time I'm ready to part with my Hero.

Could be mistaken but I thought that the HTC Triumph was releasing on Telus June 8. And that is a Desire renamed.

YEa. Last time i checked, the release date was just some time in July

Also, i already got the HTC Magic, and i love it, but i just got it so it could hold me over until i get a real android phone ;)

No no, I am sure there are more, but those are the more "popular" ones.

I heard the Xperia 10 just got rooted. Should i be looking at that now? (Once its possible to get rid of that ugly UI)

Verizon and AT&T are moving to LTE for 4G so hopefully we will all be using the same wireless tech in time. As for current GSM phones, you really can't go wrong with a Nexus. Not too sure about all the Euro 3G phones though.
