Poweramp and Winamp. The Froyo stock music app is pretty good too.

"3" ("Cubed") is the only one that handles a queue list correctly. I don't necessarily want to make a full "playlist", but rather just have it play songs I choose then and there.

With "3", this is simple. Tap a song to start going. Long press next song choice. Choose "play now"/"add to queue" or "add to playlist". Choose queue. Repeat. Songs you chose play. Easy. Nothing else does this.
