I just ordered an lg g watch for $80 plus a $50 Google play credit. At this price, it simply was just hard to pass. What ate your favorite apps and watch faces? How do your android wear smart watches seem to effect your phone battery? For lg g watch owners, how's the battery? Can you get through a full day leaving screen on all day? How do you get apps onto it l your watch? Thanks.

For a wikipedia like app try "attopedia". As for maps try "mini maps alpha" if you want a quick look around your immediate suuroundings while "wear maps gps info" will let you look anywhere around the world but it takes a bit of playing around. For better control over your apps i would suggest "wear mini launcher". For the science boffin try try "star chart". "Ram booster" will keep your watch from lagging. To keep an eye on your phones performance i would suggest "memory info for wear". If your placing a call to a number (not a contact) and your using a bluetooth ear piece try "hand dialer".

I personnally like "anyfetch companion" to get information on people calling me, and the cards from Google Now to get contextual information.

"Wear Messenger"... Sometimes its not practical to use voice reply or pull out your phone. This app allows you to text using integrated keyboards from your watch.

" Emergency Alert for Wear"... Sends a predefined text to a contact of your choice along with your location. Tested it a few times and its pretty quick and accurate.

"Draw Watch"... Allows you to jot down a quick note on the watch using free hand, handwriting which can then be sent and saved on your phone. I send it to Google Keep.

" Wear Internet Browser "... Not speedy but shows the power of what this watch can do. This app allows you to browse the internet. You can even set bookmarks to go directly to any webpage.

" Calendar for Android Wear"... Uses Google Calendar. You can even edit, create and delete events from your Google Calendar.

"@Here"... A lot of the reviews claim it to be very inaccurate but when I tested it a few times, the furthest address it gave me was the one next door. Most of the time though, it gave me a correct reading.

"Commandr" ... Not only is this a great Android app but it integrates with Android Wear. Search it if you don't know about it. I did not spell it wrong.

"Android Wear Flashlight" ... Turns the screen bright white so you can see a decent amount in pure darkness. I get home from work in the middle of the night and is helpful to not wake my wife up.

"Wear Apps Tracker"... Puts all your Wear apps in a nice convenient place so you don't lose them within your app tray. You can also uninstall and stop processes from this app.

There are also apps that combine all the wear apps from the play store in a one stop shop. I use " Android Wear Center"
