Best Apps for Kids on the Nexus 7

I've noticed that a lot of people, like me, have gotten their Nexus 7 in part for their children. With the option for multiple user profiles, it works great for that. I was curious what apps you guys found that your kids liked best. Please note the age of your kid(s). Mine are 8 (boy) & 10 (girl) and their favorites are:

Air Penguin - by FAR their favorite!
Temple Run
Fish Live
Pet Shop
Tap Zoo

My son, in particular, likes
Hangman Free (they both play this together)
and he loves the Ironman Mk VII interactive graphic novel. Very cool.

And Angry Birds Star Wars is always a favorite

I'd love to find them some others that are fun and, preferably free. Also looking for those that aren't too heavy on ads and push notifications. Hopefully this thread will help some others with the same, too!

These are the ones my 8-year-old uses. I use kids place to lock the n7 up for our 3-year-old. there are several other apps I have just for her if anyone wants to see a list of those.

I got both of my daughters a Nexus 7 for Christmas. They don't share well so they both got one.

The 9 yo has these

Song Pop (I kick her butt at this one)

Draw (Handwriting app for class, I'm so proud she's using it in school lol)

Fruit Ninja

Got 2 nexus 7 for my 5 and 9 yr old.

They like all the ones previously listed. One I didn't see that they love is "kids mode"

If they like Temple Run they'll also like Agent Dash. And Ski Safari is excellent, though not free.

Ski Safari, Angry Birds, Flow Free, Cut the Rope, Pudding Monsters, Hill Climb racing, rope escape, temple run, the where's my water / perry, fruit ninja. Now I do not have any kids, but my friend's daughter likes to play these games on my N7 and she is 8.

Much the same of what everyone else saying.

3 and 6 yr old girls. They also have a Nabi2 and most of these are compatible. Where only 1 likes or uses the game I've indicated it by their age, otherwise they both play the same thing.

Hi,

I just published a children's book/app on Google Play that is beautifully illustrated. It's a self-reading book; that is, a child can tap a button, and it reads the text to them. The book is a collection of short stories about a little blind dachshund that will give children valuable information (in an entertaining way) about living with the challenges of life.

It's called "Rufus, The Blind Dachshund".

My doughter loves: Kids Coloring Book

We would like to recommend coloring book for kids. It has many nice coloring pages. Kids can fill shapes or draw lines. There are also nice sounds.

Next coloring book application is under link below. there you can find little pony coloring and many different animals.

My friend told me about this great app which helps children to learn simple multiplication sums. The child can take a quest, which is made up of twelve parts and usually lasts around twenty minutes. The child will get a score and a grade for each part and then an overall grade and score and then a final certificate which my child loved.
