Best Battery Usage App

I used to be able to leave my note 3 on all night (screen off of course) and it would be down to about 95% when I got up. This morning it had dropped to 84% and the culprit was media server. Of course no media was running that I know of.

I once tried a battery usage app but it was of no value because it didn't list the names of apps as I know them. Instead it would list com.whatsit.whatever and gobblygook.neverheardofit etc. Is there a battery usage app that will list the names of apps as I know them along with percentage of battery they use?

I think GSam Battery Monitor is pretty good.

I'm afraid that may be the one I tried. Does that list the real names of apps or process names I've never heard of and cannot associate with apps? I'm not trying to find a battery saver app. I just want to ID apps I already have that use too much battery and uninstall them

Ok, so I tried gsam and it says index service is using up my battery. Anybody know what the hell that is and what do do about it? It's a system app so I can't delete it.

I just use the built in battery monitor. And usually it is Google Services that eats the most power. If you "Google battery drain by Google Services" there are a ton of hints to reduce its drain.

Google services isn't my issue. It is index service and media server.

I found that media server audio out 2 is keeping my phone awake with screen off all night burning up battery? Any ideas for a solution?

Qualcomm makes one just for the Snapdragon processor and I used it on my GS4 and will be adding it to my GN3. Monitors the battery usage for 3 days to determine what you use, what the drains are and adjusts accordingly.

Where do I get it? I noticed my phone never ever goes into deep speep. Is that normal?
