Best Buy hands-on

I went to Costco and they had the Note 20 in grey and the Note 20 Ultra in black. The Note 20 felt very good in my hand and I tapped on the back and it seemed ver solid. You definitely notice the flat screen on the Note 20. The grey color didn't show any fingerprints. The black on the Ultta did show some prints, but not bad. The Ultra does have the curved edges and I played with the S-pen and it seemed really nice. I also played with the Note 20 and the S-pen seemed more responsive than my Note 9.

Just left Best buy. Mystic Bronze is extremely pink. Very happy I went with black. Black looks like the ceramic version of the s10 plus that I purchased couple of years ago.

Interesting. In my two hands-on periods with the phones pink didn't come to mind at all. Looks like a legit, deep bronze. Nothing like Apple's rose gold. If anything, somewhat similar to the gold of the iPhone XS. I agree with YouTube reviewers that it's Samsung's best color since the S10 line. Even the different shades of black on the S10 were nicer than the Note20's black, which is the same as the S20's.

I haven't ordered one either, and see conflicting things in other threads about whether or not they come with one.

Review units online seem to have the screen protector pre-installed.

My guess is the retail units will too, especially given that the screen is curved on the Ultra. Samsung began doing that as a response to people complaining about compatible screen protectors on the curved display.

I just got an S10 Lite (incredible phone for under $400) and even that one had a screen protector pre-installed.

I dont get it. I never bought from Best Buy before. I have $200 gift card from them and wanted to switch to Tmobile, buy 2 phones and get $1000 off. But Best Buy only has Sprint that doesn't exist anymore, is that the same and buying Tmobile branded phone with Tmobile plans?

Also bronze and grey are not available...they said they are all sold out.....makes no sense to me. Sold out on pre-orders $1300 phone during pandemic?
Just goes to show you how the media has overhyped the whole "pandemic" thing.

No, it doesn't show anything of the sort. Products that help people stay connected, such as phones, will enjoy more popularity--not less--during the social restrictions of a deadly pandemic.

No it doesn't. If anything it reinforces it. Things are selling out due to component shortages and lower production because of the pandemic.

Best buy hasn't sold T-Mobile since the Nexus S. Who knows if they will again because of the merger, but unfortunately for the time being you won't be able to get the device from them

But if this pandemic were as bad as portrayed by the media, spending $1,300 on a phone would still be out of the question, and the shortages you speak of wouldn't be a factor.

Right, because one found it so egregious and difficult to stay connected with people by using their Note 10+, that dropping $1,300 on the next version became absolutely necessary

Very true. Technology is more on the rise now than before. I can see tablets see a huge surge.

I work in a hospital and this pandemic is definitely bad.

It is for some. Unfortunately there are plenty without jobs or extra streams of income coming in. Just appreciate not being one of those people.
