Best Buy has Note 7 for 349$

So like $60 saving in 2 years? Hardly a deal.

better than full price, better than the payment plan. plus given the opportunity to give my money now vs. give it over time, i take over time, everytime. it is like an interest free loan -- you never, never say no to that.

Same thing paying $36 a month with full price over two years. Interest free and no contract :) Line fee is $20 instead of $40.

On the recent plans, the line access charge increases by $15-25 when you go on contract for 2 years.

I am on the old nationwide plan and that one doesn't have a price increase when going on contract, so it makes sense for me to use the subsidized upgrade

the one I just ordered comes with a fit thing for free...I got my wife one on launch day from Verizon, right at 900$ and she gets a free 256 gig memory card...they said will arrive in about 12 weeks..

Did you fill out the form Samsung site? Given the choice..I chose these card.

Finally, someone that realized your per line cost is $40 (double) vs buying on payments and paying $20 per line per month.

There is nothing for free folks. These carries are getting their money out of your blood with contract our without. No doubt about that.

I would argue that it is a respectable deal. $300 + (24*$20) = $780, which is less than the $850 or so.

I'm lucky, I'm on a corporate plan, so I keep my unlimited data without playing games, and they have even turned on my ability to hotspot, so no more need for FoxFi.

And I love this phone . . .

Yep. To give perspective:

2 Year Contract: $40 line charge * 24 months = $960 + $350 upfront + $40 upgrade fee (unless waived) = $1350

Device Payment: $20 line charge * 24 mo = $480; $36 in payments/mo x *24 = $864 + $63.75ish in tax upfront + $20 upgrade fee = $1427.75

A cost difference of about $78 over a 2 yr period. So, the 2yr contract is slightly cheaper. That said, a lot of folks will opt for the payment plan due to a) being able to "upgrade"/trade-up after 50% (with some devices) and b) paying a lot less upfront vs 2yr.

I bought mine through Verizonwireless . Com for $299.98 2 year contract... I've got an old unlimited data plan so maybe that's why i had the 2 year subsidized price option
I hope the don't take away the unlimited data plan by upgrading

Best Buy has some good deals! Especially if you get some good quality accessories with your purchases!
