Best Buy Mobile Preorder

I bought the EVO on launch day last year and I just checked my upgrade eligibility. It says eligible for the $150 discount. When I go to shop for phones online, it says I can receive the $150 discount for the 2 year agreement plus the instant savings discount.

Is this true, or is this a glitch? It says on the upgrade eligibility page this offer is good until 6/4.

I dont know how many more months before I can get it for around $300 on fleabay. I have to use a snipping tool.

Depends on your premier status. Take a screen shot and save it to make sure you get it =P just in case

I preordered the EVO 3D at my local Best Buy today. Luckily, while my plan is $69.99 + the $10.00 surcharge, I qualify for the highest discount because I have been with Sprint for over 10 years.

I pre-ordered it at BB if its too much money to buy w/o contract he said i could get a year contract. which isn't too bad i guess.

I also pre-ordered mine yesterday. Had an issue with the mobile tech Guy finding the sku number in order to process. Wound up having to call several other stores to finally get it. Other than that easy and painless.

The first BB I went to told me that they was not taking pre-orders. So I went to another one and had no problems. I am so excited. I may have to call in on that day.

When does BB get the phones the same day as the Sprint store?

Why would you suggest getting the phone from BB rather than Sprint?

Has anyone had any experience with BB replacement plan vs Sprint?

Sprint you have to wait for the Mail in Rebate. Best Buy sells the phone at price with rebate included.

As of right now Sprint has instant rebates...may change but if the phone comes out soon the rebate will be instant.

In the past Best Buy has had the phones available the same day as Sprint and avoiding the rebate hassle is worth a trip yo Best Buy alone. Even if Sprint extends the instant rebate past the 3D launch I'd still go to BB. BB will try to sell you the replacement plan but you can decline; that's what I do because I use Sprints.

Went to BB yesterday and got the Evo 3D pre-ordered. The BB mobile associate told me the price point should be $199 and the expected release date was June 8th which is a Wednesday. Not to sure about that but hey if that is date I don't have a problem with being wrong. June 8th is early June for me.

Likewise!

Hope he is right because im jonesing for the damn thing lol

I think I've checked this site AND google for a release date every day for the past month HAHA.

Will be upgrading from a three year old Curve and will be my FIRST Android phone....man I can't wait!!! Lol.

Went to Best Buy

I went and preordered the device. The sales assoc then tells me, that Best Buy won't be selling them outright. Only for upgrades and new activations. Can someone clarify this pls.

I know when I purchased phones with Sprint in the past I've gotten them only at the Sprint store. If I ever had a problem with the phone I could take it in to the Sprint store and they would deal with it. If I were to purchase the phone through BB and had a problem with the phone do I have to take the phone to BB or can I take it to the Sprint store?

haha yea i feel ya man i am coming from an palm 800w & this will be my first android as well. Lucky for me the girls at work needed me to try to teach them android so i got to teach myself some before getting the E3D.

My understanding of replacement plans is that you pay monthly for the sprint protection plan for full coverage protection & for BB you have a choice of that from sprint or the BB plan which in the past has helped me with some failing or broken electronics & is full protection as well. The thing for me is you can pay outright for a extended warranty for 2 years & be covered w/o having to pay an extra 8$ monthly.
So warranty wise which is better for you? maybe i am wrong do we have a BB rep here who can help explain?

So my plan for now is if the price w/o contract is too much vs sprint i will get one year contract with some discount on the phone then buy the BB extended warranty in full. I can even put it on the BB credit card w/ no interest for a year if i wanted to. Anyway damn thing needs to come out already lol

You can take it to either. My first Evo had the lifting screen problem, went back to BB where I bought it, and they got my a new replacement no questions asked. And since it is a Sprint phone, you can take it to any Sprint store or call customer service, it doesn't matter where you bought it from.

Technically if you buy through a THIRD PARTY (Bestbuy, Radioshack, etc) during the initial 30 days they are the sole provider for hardware issues. (In terms of replacement)

After day 30 its 100% onto sprint.

Of course sprint will help you, but if it comes down to needing replacements dont expect them to do it during that initial 30 days. (They can see what dealer activated it)

When i went Friday to BestBuy my line is not ready to upgrade and i still pre ordered it and they said there wont be no problem buying it at full price and if i like i can trade in my Evo and get back like $300 i dont no how true is it about them give $300 for the Evo.
