Best Buy New Nexus 7 available for pick up 7/26/2013.

Picked up a 16 GB at my local best buy, in and out in 5 minutes.
I'm in Dallas and no Walmart had any though.

Just got mine at best Buy about an hour ago. I'm in the process of setting it up. The build quality looks miles ahead of the original. Looks like Asus stepped up their game.

What was your reason on returning the Galaxy Note 8. I've been going back and forth on whether I should get the new Nexus 7 or the Note 8.

I liked the note 8 and would have kept it if the new nexus wasn't announced this week. But I'd rather have the higher screen resolution then the S pen and stock android over touchwiz. Especially for $100 less and the 16gb Note only has 9gb availed after the OS and pre installed bloatware.

I have the Note 2, and I use it more than my 2012 model Nexus 7.
I like using the S-Pen to hover over navigation links in a few full HTML websites I visit. I also like how Touchwiz allows me to Email Groups I create in my address book. I can only achieve this on stock Android with the help of 3rd party apps.
I'll keep in mind the screen resolution you mentioned as I continue to decide which one to get.

I picked up a 16 gig model at the Best Buy in Phoenix (Camelback location) about an hour ago. One of the people at the pick up counter said that they were sold out of 32gigs and only had 16 gigs left. This product launch is going a lot smoother than last years launch of the original nexus 7.

Just did the same at my local Best buy. Sales guy didn't have a clue until I showed him their website. No problem after that. Got home and need to charge it...Argh! Oh well I will be up late tonight.

Walked into a Best Buy in Waukesha, WI and picked up one of the last 32GB models. The associate there said they had put them out today and had sold through almost their entire inventory in the 4 hours since he'd arrived at work. And the screen is fantastic - night and day better than last year's model IMO.

Picked up my 32gb yesterday at BB. I love the size, and new form factor, but I miss the rubber back for grip. Without a doubt, the speed, and overall snappy responses is better than any other android tablet, AND, browsing is much faster than my Gen 3 iPad. Nice job!

I received notification that mine was ready for pickup at Best Buy, but when I arrived they told me I had to wait until Tuesday.

She said they didn't even have the item. I'm not sure if that's true, or they wouldn't give them out no matter what.

I went back an hour later, armed with the info from this thread and walked out with my Nexus 7. Thanks everyone.

Anyone pre-ordered online and got the free webroot software and tried to cancel? They told me they are going to charge me that $29 software if I return or cancel my pre-order tried to argue because it doesn't make sense that I pre-ordered on the 24th even paid the $18 expedited shipping and be that last person to get it next week, but nothing he can do, so I guess I need to hold back on pre-ordering next time.

so I got my Nexus 7 from BB yesterday, today while surfing on staples.com website I noticed the it had Reserve&Pickup option at my local staples store so I went ahead and choose a location. Input my info and 30 minutes later I got an email saying my item is ready for pick up. While I was printing out my confirmation I noticed Staples also have -$30.00 off any tablets. (Talk about lucky day.) Went into the store got the tablet with -$30.00 off. Win Win! Just wanted to share my store

Hmmmmm.... I know mine was on the X for a bit until it finally finish loading up... I picked up a 32gb at my BB here in Wesley Chapel, FL. They had a model to play with but none in stock to see. So I'm guessing they are holding them behind the counter. I'm a big time Apple fan, and I have made a 360 to Android from Apple... First my s4 then my n7..
