Best Buy on 12/11

Lol. My best buy apparently did not have the galaxy nexus in stock. They said that the only "galaxy" they had was the galaxy s II. :-( oh well. I gave it a shot.

Local Best Buy said "Don't have them, should be getting them soon" and local Radio Shack said "We have them, but can't sell them."

Oh well, hopefully it'll be here on thursday.
 
Verizon must have sent an email out last night or something because every store that "could" sell it last night and "had them in stock" are now either not allowed to or don't have any in stock today. But most 2 of the 3 I called said that it was coming out on the 15th this week

The ones that have sold them today must have their emails broken. lol
 
I called two local best buy's, both don't have them in stock and one of them told me that it was supposed to launch 2 days ago but was delayed due to issues with google wallet. She said the new date they are being told is the 13th and to call back then.

First I heard of google wallet being the reason for the delay, not sure if maybe she had the wrong information regarding the delay, but she did say this tuesday is the release date she has.
 
i have been to and called the same best buy and when i called they said it was in stock but couldnt sell. when i went their they said they dont even have them in stock. bb is all over the place
 
I buzzed by a local BB in the Atlanta area out of curiousity and just to see what would happen (it was on my way). Asked about the GN. Girl there said that it was supposed to be out on the 9th but it was pushed back. They had no new date and would not offer me one for purchase.
 
Alright...went to a few in the LA area (one location sold a GN earlier today) but the district mobile manager had brought the hammer down. I don't think anyone got in trouble, but all the Best Buys know the device is not for sale. They were SKU-ing the RAZR and going to correct it later, but only actually did it for one sale before they wised up and stopped.

I also stopped by a corporate location and they seemed confident of the 15th - they also had their Nexus for the store and let me play with it for a little.

Initial thoughts:

-Build felt really nice - substantial but still light - tiny bit of give in battery door, but hardly noticeable.
-ICS was really nice, but there was a tiny,amount of lag (not sure what they've done with this particular device so I'm not putting too much stock in it)
- Screen is gorgeous and definitely feels bigger than a 4.3' even with the on-screen soft keys.
- On-screen soft keys will definitely take some getting used to...especially when they "hide" for certain apps like camera, but it's an adjustment I'll be happy to make.

Can't wait until Thursday now - even the VZW corporate store reps seemed excited about it and eager for Thursday.
 
Went to the BB in Cromwell CT and he had it in stock but said he would get fired if he sold it to me. Said he was sure it would be out this week.
 
I stopped by Mall of GA Best Buy Mobile. They told me they had it in stock but was not allowed to even show me the floor demo model. The latest date they have heard if the 15th like everyone else.
 
I was just at the VZW store returning my Dinc2 and the manager there hinted at 12/12 or 12/13. It was funny when I asked if they have a demo and he misheard that as me asking if they have it in stock but he faltered and said yes then quickly no. He corrected himself and brought out a demo for me to play with. I was thoroughly impressed by the screen and compared to the Rezound it's just as good if not better. My concern with the camera was gone after taking a few pictures in the store. All in all I can't wait for this phone and I hope it will come out tomorrow.
