I wanted to start this thread for those of us who purchased a Pixel/Pixel XL from Best Buy who are NOT using Verizon as their service provider. Did you get the NDE63X update?

Phone: Pixel XL
Carrier: T-Mobile

I understand that Google hasn't announced that they pushed it out yet, but trying to be proactive here. ;)

Also wondering if part of the Verizon exclusivity entitles Verizon Pixels to get the updates first?

I just posted the same question in the other thread about the updates. I have a Verizon phone bought from Best Buy and using it on T-Mobile and I just got tired of waiting and sideloaded the OTA Image, so right now I don't need to keep waiting for it but in the other hand now I won't know for sure if I was going to get the OTA update anyways or not. But at least the existence of this thread and the lack of information about it over XDA, tells me that I'm not the only one and that scares me because it may easily be that in order to get the updates we will need to have a Verizon, on Sim card and using it on their Network.

I hope I'm wrong though...

So, which update did you sideload? The X (Verizon) or the V (Google)?

X for Verizon, I just want to keep it as close as tock as possible as I always use my phones for a couple of months at most and then sell them, without all the information about possible issues by updating with the Image fior a different version (even if the only change is the radios) I don't think it worth the risks, at least not for me.

I bought mine thru rogers wireless in Canada and it is currently updating in the background. I checked the software setting in my phone and it said I was up to date and it had last checked around 6pm today. I restarted the phone and then checked the software settings again and the check for update button appeared and I clicked it and it found the update.

For the people that received the update, were you on WiFi the whole time or did the update start downloading in the background on cellular data?

Sorry to get off topic but I purchased a Pixel from BB... is there any difference between that Pixel and the unlocked from Google? Is it the same device minus the few pre-installed VZW apps or are there different LTE bands, etc?

I'm in Canada on the Bell network and my Pixel XL is NDE63L..what update should I expect to receive?

Okay, it seems the original topic of this thread has gotten completely lost in translation, so lets hit a RESET button.

Has anyone with a Verizon Pixel, whether purchased at Verizon or Best Buy, whom is on a carrier OTHER than Verizon gotten the update yet, and which build number do you have? I really want to know the definitive answer to this question too.

Please state what carrier you are currently on, when you got the update, and what build number you have.

Just checked. No update yet. Am on BB Pixel XL with an AT&T sim. Still on NDE63N

Got an update this morning. Am on V now.

Apologies, I did not see that these were both from you. So it looks like a Verizon Pixel will still get updates if you swap carriers, and it will go to the Play Store version Build if you arent on Verizon. Can anyone else confirm?

So you got the update despite having an AT&T sim in the phone?? This would answer the original posts question.
Yes, that is right. Bought at best buy, inserted a AT&T Sim on day one, checked this morning and received an update.
