Best Buy Sprint Galaxy Nexus

Went in Sunday and was told, sorry we don't have your phone. I asked when, I was told... I DONT KNOW.

Needless to say... I have 2 pre-orders that have TBD as their arrival date. Kinda lame.

How did you get them to price match? My store wont do it...grrr...tell me your secret..lol
 
Best Buy should not have taken pre-orders for Sun if they could not deliver in stores on Sun. i do not blame the retail employees - i blame upper management for feeding them shiit and keeping them in the dark.

and now you know one of the reasons why Best Buy is in trouble.

Well...this is the same thing that happen with the Sprint/iPhone 4s launch.

I ended up contacting BBB and filing a complaint. Bestbuy gave me $100 gift card for the inconvience. I ended up getting the phone from Sprint.

Ran into same issue. Local Best Buys didn't have them on Saturday when I went in and talked to them. I ended up doing a pre-order at the Sprint store and got mine on Sunday.
 
The whole thing is disappointing. Best Buys don't have any in stock anywhere, and the Sprint stores that even got inventory, only got a few. I blame Sprint for not having enough manufactured/delivered.

Went into the store on Sunday and was told that no stores in Southwest Florida will be getting any in the store. So I ordered one and have been in backorder hell ever since. On Sunday when I ordered it, I was told it would arrive Monday or Tuesday....now they are telling me it may be weeks before it's delivered. If I wasn't using my Buy Back Credit from another phone I'd buy it somewhere else, but now I'm just stuck waiting....and waiting....and waiting... :'(

So your using a $50 credit, to bring it down to $149.99? Why not go with wirefly?

Well, at the time of pre-order I printed the Radio Shack website price of $149.99. They took that and said we will match it.

I was just informed today, however, that Best Buy retail stores WILL NOT be getting them in via a Best Buy Mobile manager in the Best Buy retail store in my town. So I said, when was this going to be brought to my attention, the fact that I will never get my phone because it will sit in pre-order limbo. He said your pre-order is to guarantee you get one when it arrives. *Light bulb must be fried for him*. I also asked when I was going to be told all of this information. If I didn't call I would just be sitting in limbo. We all know Best Buy only calls when the item is in stock and flags a pre-order. Thus if no product comes, I would never get a call and have my $50 pre-order tied up for ever.

Finally, after 20 minutes, he said that we can't get it in store but we can "insta-ship" it. I asked how long that would take and he said 5 business days. I then said, if you said you have none in the warehouse how can you guarantee you would get it to me in 5 days. Well, about 5 days but maybe more. So what you are telling me is that I will give you MORE money and still have no definite phone? No thanks. We go back and forth and he has the audacity to tell me that he also can no longer honor my price match with an insta-ship or order. I lost it. Argued some more because he claimed that because no others stores have stock the price match isn't good.

I then asked to speak to a manager/friend there and I was told he would check to see if he was there. I am put on hold for 25 minutes only to be met with the same person telling me my friend isn't there and that he spoke with another manager and nothing has changed. I asked to speak to another manager and then I get transferred to the one he spoke with.

To sum it up, the new manager and I finally saw eye to eye. He informed me the phone has been ordered and will be sent to the store. Because it is coming directly from Sprint he can not track it. He is assuming it should be in Friday and will call me on Saturday with the phone in his hand he hopes, or earlier(once it comes in). Regardless, he will call me Saturday if it hasn't come in. He also said they will honor my price match for both phones and due to the inconvenience and lack of communication on their end, a free accessory(charger)

So, hopefully I will have two Galaxy Nexus for $149.99 and two $50 phone freedom gift cards, and two accessories on Friday/Saturday! I can only hope, because this has drained me. I spend way too much money at Best Buy to not have it work out.

Actually the credit I was going to get from them was $350 to buy back a phone I bought from them earlier this year with their buy back guarantee (I kinda planned it this way since the phone I had was dying fast). After getting them to agree to the $549.99 price that sprint is selling it for (non-upgrade price) that dropped my price to the normal upgrade price ($200). Unfortunately, the buy back only works at Best Buy so I'm stuck waiting for them.
 
I just talked to someone at BB Mobile again tonight regarding when the phone will ship. So far I've had 2 different people on 2 different days say I should have it by Friday. The person today actually went as far as to say that the phones were being released from inventory tomorrow the 25th.
 
Per a corporate memo that an employee showed me today, this is the official story:

Only certain stores are getting stock at the local level. They are only getting them in on Wednesday April 25th. You can only pre-order for in-store pick up prior to the 25th by going into the store and asking for the in-store pre-order. They will sell them to others if they get in more than the pre-order numbers.

After the 25th, the phone supposedly goes back to online/ship-to-store status.
 
I hope what you are saying is correct. I was told Friday, today would be very nice after a stressful week of BB madness.
