How did you get them to price match? My store wont do it...grrr...tell me your secret..lol
Well, at the time of pre-order I printed the Radio Shack website price of $149.99. They took that and said we will match it.
I was just informed today, however, that Best Buy retail stores WILL NOT be getting them in via a Best Buy Mobile manager in the Best Buy retail store in my town. So I said, when was this going to be brought to my attention, the fact that I will never get my phone because it will sit in pre-order limbo. He said your pre-order is to guarantee you get one when it arrives. *Light bulb must be fried for him*. I also asked when I was going to be told all of this information. If I didn't call I would just be sitting in limbo. We all know Best Buy only calls when the item is in stock and flags a pre-order. Thus if no product comes, I would never get a call and have my $50 pre-order tied up for ever.
Finally, after 20 minutes, he said that we can't get it in store but we can "insta-ship" it. I asked how long that would take and he said 5 business days. I then said, if you said you have none in the warehouse how can you guarantee you would get it to me in 5 days. Well, about 5 days but maybe more. So what you are telling me is that I will give you MORE money and still have no definite phone? No thanks. We go back and forth and he has the audacity to tell me that he also can no longer honor my price match with an insta-ship or order. I lost it. Argued some more because he claimed that because no others stores have stock the price match isn't good.
I then asked to speak to a manager/friend there and I was told he would check to see if he was there. I am put on hold for 25 minutes only to be met with the same person telling me my friend isn't there and that he spoke with another manager and nothing has changed. I asked to speak to another manager and then I get transferred to the one he spoke with.
To sum it up, the new manager and I finally saw eye to eye. He informed me the phone has been ordered and will be sent to the store. Because it is coming directly from Sprint he can not track it. He is assuming it should be in Friday and will call me on Saturday with the phone in his hand he hopes, or earlier(once it comes in). Regardless, he will call me Saturday if it hasn't come in. He also said they will honor my price match for both phones and due to the inconvenience and lack of communication on their end, a free accessory(charger)
So, hopefully I will have two Galaxy Nexus for $149.99 and two $50 phone freedom gift cards, and two accessories on Friday/Saturday! I can only hope, because this has drained me. I spend way too much money at Best Buy to not have it work out.
