Best Buy Trade In- Question Plz Help!

I want to trade in my SG III for a G3.
Can I trade in the SGIII first, get the 42.00 that is listed on their trade in website (instant gift card) and put it towards the $49.99 that is being currently listed as the price for a G3 on the bb website.?

Has anyone done this? I am eligible for a handset upgrade, just money is tight for me and I am wondering if I can trade my old phone in first and then get the new one.

Also, does the phone have to be factory reset if I am trading it in?

That's just how it works. You trade it in and you use that money to buy your next one. It doesn't HAVE to be factory reset, but if you want to keep your information safe, I'd recommend (strongly) that you do factory reset before trading it in.

I am going to do a reset, can I take out the SD card? Does it need to have the original charger etc..or just the phone?

I have kept it in an UAG case since day one, no real scratches or anything on it, but after 2 years, it has gotten slow and kept crashing.

I need a phone asap.

You can remove the SD Card, that's yours. They usually just ask for the phone, but with newer ones they might ask for the accessories, it all depends on the trade-in conditions for each model. Also, they will ask you to power it on to make sure it's in working condition, so make sure you have at least some charge left in your battery before taking it in.

Slim. But I do teach PE so I could use some decent protection. Used an UAG for 2 years...it was ok.
