Best case/holster combo?

Have the DX ordered, to be shipped 8/31... I'm coming from the BB Tour.

I love the holster for the BB. Love the fact that when I put the phone into the holster it switches to vibrate. This is especially useful when I go into meetings and such.

Does the DX have such a feature? Is there a holster that can do this?

I know the cool feature about the BBs was the magnets that set the vibrate sensors.

Hmmm unfortunately I don't think such a feature is available, although I would like that too. I have the leather holster, and it is top notch. Seidio makes really good products, they have a line of good case/holster combos you may want to check out.

I too am switching from a Blackberry. I am looking for a good leather holster with magnet closure. Seido page says that there are Droid X products upcoming....

Fommy.com has a few leather holsters that they say will work with the DX

I don't know if the DX will change profiles like the BB, but I want a leather holster anyway. - I don't want to keep the DX in my pocket

If you just want a plan OEM leather holster get the one from Verizon. I have it and it is great

I guess every product has it's pros and cons. That BB profile change when putting it in the holster was the best thing...

Gonna have to get use to doing something with the DX. And to think that it's a smartphone...

Yes, I am a Blackberry convert, and this kind (with a belt clip) is just what I'm used too.
I'd consider a snap-in case/clip ONLY if the screen faced OUT. I do NOT want to unclip the phone every time I need to use it while its in the holder. (Walking somewhere, etc)
Thoughts?

I second this case/holster combo! It's great!! I've had the equivalent for my other smartphones and would buy it just for the holster! The holster will also accommodate Seidio cases and a soft-touch, hard plastic case I just bought from Best Buy. It's very slim (not at all bulky) and really holds onto the DX. No chance of it falling out accidentally.

Try www.seidio.com for cases for the droid x. Seidio makes some of the best cases for any mobile phones. Also try otterbox
