Best Cases & Accessories for the Note 8

Does it work with wireless charging? How's the sensitivity with pen and finger? And do the 'tiny dots' in their description change the look of the screen at all? Sorry for the barrage of questions but it's an interesting idea for a case. Thanks for posting the link.

Yes it works fine with wireless charging. The sensitivity is very good with the S Pen and with touch but I would say that you will notice a slight difference in touch sensitivity compared to the bare screen which is fairly obvious. I was surprised at how sensitive it was though to be honest. You get used to the dots and barely notice them tbh. I would say it's defo worth considering if you don't want an adhesive SP. Hope that helps :)

I like SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle cases. I had one for my Galaxy Note 4.

Which cases cover all of the ports?

Thank you.

Yeah, it does. Thanks.

Not sure if this is nationwide or just my local Sam's Club but Otterbox are all marked down $5. Picked up a Defender tonight.

Not bad prices! Amazon has them listed as being in in a couple weeks but for 54 bucks!

If you can wait a couple days for shipping, there are a couple makers of imitation Defender cases for the Note 8 that look just as good and nearly identical on Amazon for about $15.

Here is my phone with the Faux Otter box case and a an IQ SHIELD Liquidskin screen protector. It's very similar to the Neo Flex someone else used, but I've used IQ Shield before with very good results. A little dust settled on my screen because I took too long putting it on. But very pleased with results and clarity of the screen. Very little drag on the pen after completely dried.

The IQ Shield is great. My friend also got it for his Note 8 and it seems perfect for him. Didn't try it myself but from your photos it seems good as well.

I got mine off of eBay for about $15.
I have no issues with the "Faux" OtterBox cases. I've purchased both OEM and knockoff OtterBox cases before and have been happy with both. Sure, knockoffs are not gonna be the exact same quality as the OEM, but the overall fit and protection is damn close. If I wasn't confident in the build quality of a good knockoff, I wouldn't put it on my $1,000 phone. The real difference I've seen is in the quality of the holster. I don't really have much use for the holster, so it's not a deal breaker for me. But $15 for a good, sturdy case, continues to work for me. And if I want to change case colors to fit my mood or occasion, this makes it affordable.

They got that pretty close. Looks just like my Defender in aqua green/blueish color. I wish they were out a couple weeks before the phones shipped or I would have ordered a couple of them instead of paying $60 from Verizon to have it before release.

I really wanted black. I might order an imitation black one later. I'm not spending another $40-60 on a case.

I'm using Samsung's standing cover. It feels as strong as the otter box commuter but less expensive and not as slippery. Nice tactile fit, no slip feel and a prop for watching movies..

Re: Best Cases & Accessories for the Note 8

Link for good quality knockoff OtterBox case I purchased from eBay.
I have the Navy blue case.
"Skip" the tempered glass option.

I almost ordered one from Amazon because I want a black Defender, but I already got the aqua Blue one i paid $60 and don't want to spend another $40-60 on another Otterbox.

If the knockoffs were out before the Note 8 shipped I would have ordered one of those. I always want my cases before I get the phone.

Did they only have the black & purple Defenders at Sams? I kind of like the green Big Sur color.
That's all they had at my local Sam's. Just got my new holster to accommodate the larger case today and put the Defender on my phone after work. Nice and grippy all around and the added bulk actually makes it easier for my big hands to hold. Loving it so far! The only thing that will take some getting used to is the buttons now press pretty hard through the case. On the bright side, no accidental button presses.

Since I have my phone in the holster while at work, I find myself using the "long press" on the home key area of the screen to display the lock screen rather than pressing the hard side button. And I just enter my pin to unlock.

I was at Sam's today and all they carry is the purple and black Defenders. I don't think they carry all the colors. They were $44, not marked down. They had two purple and one black left. They don't have as big of a quantity of Note 8 cases like they do the s8 and the iphone.

In the S8 they only carry black Defenders. If you want different colors gotta go to a carrier store.

Unless you need the case today, I'd go on Amazon and order the knock off Note 8 Defender we have been talking about on here. Only $15 and looks nearly identical and more colors to choose from.

Before release they didn't have the imitation Defenders on Amazon and I wanted my cases before the pre orders shipped and Verizon store near me was the only one who had them and in the Big Sur so I shelled out $65 with tax.

Hi Chrisdil
do you find the button stiff on this case, I just got mine yesterday and they seem tough to press especially the power and Bixby button.
Thanks

Yeah buttons are stiff on OtterBox cases. That's why most times I'll use the alternate method of long pressing the screen where home button area is to wake the phone.

The buttons are a bit stiff but nothing over powering. I really like the Defender for the S8 and Note 8.

I like this...I had alot of cases for my Note 4 and liked my folio style. I've had my phone 2 weeks, and havea plain otterbox on it, but dropped it once and the screen protector flew off. I might have to check this one out.
