Best cases for Google Pixel 2

I picked up the Spec case with the rubber grips on the back. I've had this same case on my iPhone and it's survived many, many drops from myself and my son. Don't think I'll ever buy any other type of case for my phones.

Another vote for the Ringke. I loved it on my 5x. Decent protection. Clear back to put a pictures in. Easy to press buttons. Waiting for the Pixel 2 version to arrive.

(The Ragetorc referred to above is not sold in the US, and would be the same price as the Ringke)

Everything is either not in stock, or taking a while to deliver. I took my 5x case, added a little foam tape in the sides, and the Pixel 2 fits. I also put my extra 5x glass screen protector on the Pixel 2, and it's passable. So, I'm protected while waiting.

all those cases are OK but I do not want to destroy the looks of my new Pixel 2 so i went with case from LAYER guys. Small start up company but great product they have a amazing customer service, highly recommend I had their case for my first Pixel XL and it was great. check them out here www.layercase.com

I'm looking for a somewhat minimalist case (I'd like a little bit of drop protection but mostly to mitigate scratching) but I don't really want a transparent back because I use a magnet mount in my car so I have a very thin metal plate that goes between the phone and case (one side is protected so it won't scratch the phone). I like lot of the phones people have linked to...many nice ones!

I think I posted my case in the won't thread.. This came in yesterday and my phone should come in today some time..

I got the same in the standard Pixel 2.

The first two pics are the Ringke Fusion Crystal Clear in Smoke Black for the Pixel 2. It's exactly what I'm looking for. It's a thin, lightweight case, that still shows off the look of the phone itself while offering protection.

Below is the MoKo Heavy Duty case for the Pixel 2. I got it mainly for my long hikes and backpacking trips when I want a holster and extra protection for my phone in the outdoors. My only gripe is that you have to slide out the phone from the top,
as opposed to the unhoooking it from the side, which -older MoKo cases like for the Nexus 6P used to have. (The Ringke case is to the right of it for comparison).

Ringke fusion is my go to case for any phone. Been using them for a couple of years now on 4 different phones. Love it.

I just took delivery of a Spigen Thin Fit case. I had this one for my Nexus 6. The cutouts are perfect and the grip is awesome. The "new case" smell is pretty strong, but I hope it goes away soon. My Pixel 2 XL is now not so slippery in hand.

Phone arrived and got a Spigen clear case for temporary use. I am waiting to see how the Spigen case with kickstand looks on this phone. On the OG pIxel xl it made the phone a tad bit wider kind of like nexus 6 size. I am hoping it does not do that to this pixel 2 xl phone. Anyone know?

If you're still looking for a clear case with a kickstand, check out Spigen. If you place an order by the 30th or 31 (I can't remember what the deadline is), you get 24% discount + a free kickstand. I'm not sure how the kickstand works but I think it attaches with adhesive. They also sell rings that can attach to the case and also serve as a kickstand.

They are known for cases with kickstands, especially on their more protective ones, though I don't see exactly what you're looking for. Maybe the freebie will work for you, or the ring stand.

I always use Tech21, but I am not a fan of the EVO Check cases after having it on my XL.
I'll jump ship if they only make the EVO Mesh/Check case (already on their website). I want the tactical - that thing is boss.

I'm considering the Teh21 EVO Check, based on reviews, and how grippy it feels in the hand. Did you have issues with yours? I'm just curious what you didn't like about it as I'm trying to decide on a case before my phone arrives on Monday.

I bought about 6 cases, but oddly the one I prefer as of now is this $8 KuGi Google Pixel 2 XL case. I like the look, the buttons are perfectly tactile, and it's nice and grippy and protective too. Definitely worth the $8 if anyone is looking for a good cheap case.
