Best cases for Google Pixel 2

The Google fabric case didn't seem to offer much if any protection when I tried it out at the Verizon store. The sides didn't seem to come up high enough even to protect the screen if dropped.

I just ordered a two piece photo live case from Google. It's in China right now, but if it's anything like the Places Live case I saw at Verizon then it will be the right balance (for me) of protection and thinness.

I really like the look and feel of the Google cases, but the fact that I can't put it face down is a deal breaker for me.

My favorite cases so far lol

Spigen neo hybrid, bear motion, custom case

Does anyone have the Incipio Dualpro case on their Pixel 2?

I keep buying & returning cases for my phone because I haven't settled on one I'm really happy with. I posted pics further up thread of one that I bought & kind of like, but it's a little bulkier than I'd prefer & the rubber on the top & bottom are a little loose. I'm tempted to try this Incipio but I'm tired of being disappointed by cases!

I have the Tech21 case from the Verizon store and it's definitely protective and looks slick, but isn't slick. It's grippy and has some substance to it. It feels like you could drop your phone pretty damn hard and this thing will protect it. Only negatives are it fits so tight it's hard to get off - also the power button is a bit stiff but maybe that will loosen up. I also ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor extra and it should be here middle of next week. I think those two cases will do it for me for a bit, although I may buy one thin one to complete the set!

I bought & returned the Tech 21 because of the tight fit. I'm picky about the feel of the case edges and back (where your hand will be when using the phone) & that case felt great in hand, I also felt like it was well protected - but I hated the super tight fit. I didn't have a screen protector on my phone at that time, so I knew I'd be taking it out at least once when installing one & that case was too darn tight, I felt like my phone was going to flex too much & break if I had to take it off.

I felt the same way! And the buttons on the Tech 21 products NEVER loosen up over time. A little looser with industry standard button press and it would be a nice case.

Using the Speck Grip and really liking it a lot.

I figured out a way to take it off that's fine. But yeah, it's very tough for me unless I do it that way. Scary tough. I got a few more cases coming to compare and will keep 2.

I use a Dualpro a like it a lot. It seems to be one of the most protective cases on the market.

Is the back plastic part smooth & slippery, or is it coated with anything to give it some grippiness? One thing I do like about the 2 piece case I'm using is the back is covered with rubbery material so it's not likely to slip out of my hand too easily.

I returned the Tech 21 and got the Speck Presidio Show. Very nice case. Buttons are easy to press. It's in the case nice and snug but not too hard to get out. Seems like great protection and it shows off the phone while having some black around the edges.

I also received the Spigen Liquid Crystal case. Great clear case. Slim but not too slim to not offer some actual drop protection.

The back part is smooth but I don't think it's slippery. Maybe if you had wet or damp hands it would be.

I got the Spigen Rugged Armor Extra in yesterday and it is a fine case. Has such a nice feel to it. It is not slick, nor super grippy but in a pleasant place between those too. Such a nice hand feel. I thought it would be bulky but it is not at all, looks quite proper on the Pixel 2 XL and you definitely feel safe with the phone. The Incipio Reprieve Sport comes today as well - last case to check out. So far looking good!

Got the Incipio Reprieve Sport in today. It's a very nice case - similar to the Speck Presidio Show in style but a bit more sleek and thinner of a case. I do like it but prefer the Speck for having a noticeably larger lip on the front to protect the screen, and prefer the Incipio for being a bit more discreet. Either way you go you are in good hands so pick what you prefer more and buy that case.
