Best cases for Google Pixel 2

Which color did you guys go with on the Reprieve? I asked my wife for the Volt for Christmas.

For some reason I can't post links to this forum. I recently purchased the Caseology Skyfall in white. it's just like any clear tpu case. It's slim. Best of all the things metal bumper is white, so it looks really good on the black and white xl

I went with blue. It's subtle and nice. With a black Pixel 2 XL

That's the case I have but I have a Penguin instead. I like the look of the case and will be keeping it. I will, however, be looking for another case so I can change up from time to time.

Has anyone done a comparison between the Incipio DualPro and Spigen Neo Hybrid?

Sure would like some input on the differences and which is the better case. Always nice to have a case with great protection and a little grippy but slides easily in and out of your pocket.

I found the NeoHybrid to not be all that grippy. It looks like it would be, though.

I bought the NeoHybrid and the Caseology Parallax. The Parallax delayed until I got fed up and cancelled it. Then, out of the blue, Caseology sent me a freebie.

Used both for a while each... The Parallax is my favorite for feel, grip, and quality. Very similar size (bulkwise). The NeoHybrid began to show a visible separation between the two layers on one side at the back. That really upset me... It was used for a few weeks, max.

Wish I could help on the dualpro... Only used one Incipio (the NGP on my old Moto G5 plus). FWIW, that was a QUALITY case, though. Felt like it was worth the money and then some. Good luck.

Thanks for replying! I went ahead and ordered both a DualPro and Neo Hybrid but sounds like I should probably send the Neo back if it has issues.

I may order the Parallax too since you’re so high on it and not that expensive either.

Can you recommend a tempered glass screen protector?

I got the Spigen Rugged Armor Extra in yesterday and it is a fine case. Has such a nice feel to it. It is not slick, nor super grippy but in a pleasant place between those too. Such a nice hand feel. I thought it would be bulky but it is not at all, looks quite proper on the Pixel 2 XL and you definitely feel safe with the phone. The Incipio Reprieve Sport comes today as well - last case to check out. So far looking good!
I bought the rugged armour also and have been using it for a short while (2 weeks) and although a nice slim case the buttons aren't that tactile especially the power button. If used for the life of the phone I can seriously tell you your power will eventually stop working. I've noticed from taking my phone out of the case that I've noticed it being a little bit recessed even after the short time I had it in the case compared to my moms which is in a supcase and has a great response for the buttons. I have a otterbox defender screenless on the way which will replace the spigen.

I appreciate your ability to predict the future of a case after using it for a whole 2 weeks, but my spigen rugged armor extra has a great tactile feel to the buttons with a nice click when pressed. No indications that the buttons will start to regress over here.

Ymmv, but Google some of the reviews on that particular case and most of tell of the hard tactile feel of the buttons. Like I said I noticed after 2 weeks of using it along with my moms in a different case its like night and day and the button putrusion is slightly more recessed on mine than hers. I'm no stranger to power button failures as my nexus 6p which I have in a poetic rugged case now has it and a Samsung galaxy tab s2 in a griffin survivor is also experiencing problems. Before you say I'm hard on my stuff I'm not. Its the cases that do me in. I need a good rugged case for my line of work and what I buy is determined by the mfgs who make the cases for what I buy. I've never had problems with otterbox and usually buy defender cases but wanted to get away from them as the screen protectors that came on them. I'm glad they now have a screenless version and it will be herw this week.

I'm really enjoying the Google cloth case for my Pixel 2 XL. It offers great scratch protection while giving the phone a good grip. It's not slippery like some cases I've tried before this one. It probably won't fare well in a drop, but I guess that's the price we pay for small cases.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a screen protector. I SHOULD use them, but I don't. I really don't like them. That said, I did buy the added protection for my pixel... Not certain it's a good investment, but we'll see. Hopefully it's a waste of money and my pixel lives on for 2+ glorious years. Lol.

I want a case with the same color scheme as the Panda color. :)

Also I want it to show the orange power button. :)

I'm new here and also haven't read to the end of this thread yet, this may have been answered, but here is an eBay case that's in the Panda color scheme, if you have a white version that is:

There is some cheesy text on it though.

Might be better to do a black Dbrand sticker on the glass with a white Pixel 2. And then get a clear case:

I ordered a matte black sticker for the glass to go on my white Pixel 2. And the color logo too. Hope it looks good. I've considered using orange nail polish on the power button... Is that crazy?

I went with the Ringke clear case ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075Q96XF...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6129157 my Panda. It's really clear and lets you see the orange power button. I also went with the dbrand black dragon skin just to cover the rear glass. Got that to protect the glass from any dirt or dust that gets inside the case and to make it a little different. Also got the G logo in the dragon skin just for looks. I'll try to take pictures of everything later. The couple I have exceed the file size limit.

I tried out one of the Tech 21 cases from Verizon but it definitely wasn't worth 45 bucks for me. I took it back and told them it was just too bulky for me and they looked at me like I was a crazy person... Lol

I’m not concerned about how thin a case is only that it has maximum protection and grippy enough so it’s not easy to drop. For those that have tried multiple cases which of these have the best protection?

Incipio DualPro
Speck Presidio Grip
Caseology Legend

Since Otterbox is not making the Commuter Series for the Pixel and the Symmetry doesn’t look very interesting, do any of the above offer comparable protection?

I don't have all three, so can't compare. I do have the Speck Presidio Grip. I use it almost all the time, even though I have four other cases. I'd say the protection is as good or better than the Otterbox Commuter. The buttons are easy to press. It's got a nice secure feel in the hand.
