I was hoping this spigen would provide some grip because of the pattern, but I already received it and it is still pretty smooth. The quest for a relatively thin case with good grip continues.

I was looking at them both again and I'm leaning towards the shiny black.

My Incipio turned up today and I measured it against the Spigen I had and thought "Hey, this looks a little small!" Amazon sent the case for the standard S8, instead of the S8+ *sigh*

Now i've got to go out of my way to go to a USPS and send it back. This is the second time Amazon have sent the wrong item. I guess their pickers don't really pay much attention.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much more slim the GS8 Otterbox Defender case is compared to the one on my GS7. At it's thickest point on the top and bottom of the GS8 case, it's thinner than the Defender of the GS7. The cutout on the back provides a perfect visual reference for those making such a big deal about the placement of the fingerprint sensor. I have medium sized hands and have no issues. Plan on using it to drop the notification shade.

I have to agree about the Defender. This is the best version ever. I am so happy they left out the screen protector, those have always been a pain point for me. The Defender has the best raised lip for protecting your screen from drops. This version is protective yet not too bulky.

I bought the Samsung branded transparent case from T-Mobile and it fits great. Doesn't really add any bulk to the phone.

Also picked up the Spigen Thin Fit case in Coral blue, figured if we didn't have the Coral blue phone option to purchase, this was the next best thing. That case is adds more bulk than the Samsung case.

Looks like a lint magnet and almost impossible to take out of your pocket type case.

As for me I got this for my S8+ and I'm not really digging it. The light blue is standing out too much.

It's a phone sandwiched it glass and dropped at any weird angle even at a low height can cause it to shatter.
