Best CPU amd memory settings under Cyanogen 9

I have upgraded to Cyanogen9 and have been running for a while.

I have mainly tweaked the memory best performance.

I experience a lag when opening mail or messages. I will either get a blank list, or I will see the mail, but no message, only the header.

I think I either tweaked the wrong switch or I am missing something.

If anyone has the "default" settings for this ROM or has the best tweak to make it run fast and stable, please pass this on to me.

Running CPU at "Smartass V2" and seems to hum along just fine.

Any memory tweaks?
