I guess I see tracking by family as more invasive than government as it is so apparent and obvious that it is happening. But this is coming from someone who doesn't have the compulsive need to take my cellphone with me everywhere. I am happy to leave it at home as I get so annoyed seeing cellphones in church, in restaurants, in crotches while people drive and nearly kill others, in grocery stores, while people are talking quiet walks on the beach. If my parents had tracked my location I'm sure I would have left home well before age 18. I have a friend who has gone crazy with hubby tracking her and I say "ditch the damn phone". I don't see the tracking concept as a safety and loving one, but as a very controlling one, but that is just me a person from a different generation with different views. I am enjoying my freedom and living in the past lol.
