Best guess at Black Friday deals on Note 9?

Isn't it always only on a new line?

No always. Sometimes you will see a gift card only with a new line. However, a lot of the time, you'll see it with either a new line or also activation of the device.

For example, right now, Best Buy and Target are both offering gift cards ($100 and $150 respectively) for activation of a Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL. I am waiting for a similar deal with the Note 9 before I pick it up. Best Buy is also offering $150 off the price (not a gift card) when you sign up for the 24 month payment option. Around this time last year, Best Buy offered a $250 gift card for activation of a Note 8.

Ya gift card better. I don't want to do payments. I'd rather pay up front and get it over with

Plus if you trade it in before the agreement is up, you don't get the full value of the rebate or trade in phone.

The gift card is absolutely better because I will use that gift card on the Galaxy Watch, coupled with my Best Buy reward certificates that are about to expire.

So this week at Best Buy, it’s $250 off the price of the Note 9 for Verizon. $150 off for AT&T and Sprint. This is only with the monthly payment. Not the full retail.

Over at Target side, you get a $150 gift card with a purchase of the Note 9.

The best part about the Best Buy deal is if you have a Samsung phone to trade in as Best Buy honors the Samsung double trade in event right now. If you have an S8+, you get $450 for your trade in, stacked with the $250 off on Verizon, meaning you get the Note 9 for $300 on device payments!

So they have the $250 off, but I need a line for my son. So they are offering $300 off with a new line, do I get the $300 with the $250 making it a total of $550 off? I'm on Verizon.

I think you are reading his post wrong. Best Buy is $250 off the device. But it is $250 off over a span of 24 months. You have to sign up for the 24 month payments to get $250 off. So technically, it's around $10.41 off your bill every month.

What Marlin said is that you can stack this deal with the double trade in special that Samsung is running right now. So if you trade in a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (for example, you'll get $450 of trade in value. That stacked with the $250 off will make the Note 9 really only $300 if you do the 24 month payments.

Does that make sense? I know it's a lot of info.

Gotcha. Makes sense. Thanks for the help.

I just received my new $999.00 Note9 purchased direct from Samsung taking advantage of the trade in deal the have right now. I traded in my paid for Verizon Note 8 and Samsung gave me a $500 credit. They also gave me my choice of a Samsung Gear VR w/controller or Samsung Gear 360. I already have a Gear 360 so I opted for the VR. Verizon threw in $100 so my Note 9 cost me $399 + tax=$431. 00. Also Verizon was willing to finance the $399. over 2 years no interest $16.67/mo.

(I've had my Note 8 since it was available on a pre-order and paid 1/2 price - $480 with a trade in of a paid for S7Edge.)

I hadn't planned on getting a Note 9 but couldn't pass up this deal.

So tempted to jump on this best buy deal right now, instead of waiting til Black Friday

id jump on it, worst case BF will be $300 BB GC like last year. I'd rather take the $250 off the phone because BB will not allow using the GC for the purchase, only future purchases.

Have never done a trade-in deal at BB. Do they take your phone on the spot or do you still have to mail it in to Samsung?

They take the phone on site. No mail in required. I think this is a much better situation that mailing into Samsung because you don't have to worry about your phone being damaged during shipping or having any issues with the trade in verification - it's all done right there.
