best launcher for HTC ONE? (battery, usebillity etc)

it replaces the Sense launcher, which means we don't use the Sense program at all? (Happy!!!) do we need to root the device?

Launchers work just like any other app, they can be set as a default app for when you press the Home Button. Once you set it to always, you can still change it back so you can load the Sense Launcher if you want.

Root isn't required for any launcher, at least the most popular, including Nova Prime.

As other said, you will loose Sense 5 widgets when using a third-party launcher. I've replaced the excellent weather and clock widget of Sense 5 with EZ Weather which is free (no ads!). Give it a try.

For the calendar widget, I'm using Clean Calendar Widget and it fulfills my needs.

I started out with Apex and later switched to Nova when Nova Prime went on sale. I like Nova a little bit better so I've stuck with it.

maybe you can help me. I've searched and can't find anything right. Nova launcher is occasionally (a few times a day lately) pulling up a blank home screen with just wallpaper and no icons. Using Nova, Widget Locker Pro, and NiLS.

I can tap home and nothing happens, double tap to access recent apps, launch an app, go back home and still blank sometimes, other times, goes to my actual home screen with icons...

Any suggestions?

If I were you I'd save your Nova setup using it's own backup feature and uninstall/reinstall. The problem you speak of certainly isn't normal and I bet that fixes it.

Is this backup available if its not nova Prime? I just have the free one...

I just uninstalled Prime, and I still have the option to Backup and Import settings. Just go into Nova Settings and look on the bottom left.

I use ADW EX.

It lets me categorize the app drawer, supports five rows on home screens and there is one screen transition effect I like particularly much :-)

Has been happy with Nova too.

Had my One since launch day and thinking of installing Nova Launcher. I'm coming from the original Evo 4G so I'm still kinda sensitive to how much space apps use. Can anyone tell me what kind of space this takes up. Thanks

Nova Prime. Seems to be the best one out there. Highly customizable and doesn't seem to slow down the device.

I'm using nova prime with widget locker and nils. Best combo I have ever had, and the scrollable dock on nova is the best feature iv ever used. I keep wanting to go back to sense 5 but the scrollable dock keeps me put in place with nova, it's too great.

+1 nova prime

it's the only launcher i've tried, and i see no reason to try another. simple, clean and tweaked the UI to my liking.

I tried many launchers and like most people say, Nova Prime is my favorite. It's very fast, easy to learn, easy to customize. Gestures are a great feature. Battery doesn't notice a difference. Completely customize the icon sizes in all drawer, dock and homescreens.

I mean, it's a 'see it for yourself' kind of deal. It's easy to accustom to. Out of all launchers I've tried, the one I by far despised the most was the GoLauncher. Ew.

I currently use nova/prime. I'm interested to see how the Google launcher will be if they ever release it.

i liked nova and apex about the same but stayed with apex as it's slightly better from my experience as far as the free options go and it doesn't constantly confront me with its payware options like nova did. In other words apex has enough free options for me to configure the way I want thus allowing me to remain a cheapskate.
