best messenger app?

I'm currently using textra, and was wondering if there's a better messenger app out there.. I really like the iPhone messenger..

In my opinion nothing beats google messenger you can get it from the playstore or sideload it from apkmirror.com

I tried Textra for quite a while, then went back to the stock app. "Which X app is best" is like "which flavor is best" - it's a personal choice.

I use the stock now I did try others, txtra, hangouts but the stock is almost identical to txtra just a lighter vertion hangouts is good as well

Verizon Messages is good. Can send and receive over WiFi.
