ive been looking around a little on how to root this particular device i havent found all that much so i figured i would ask the best of the best so any help would be greatly appreciated. i have a windows computer if that matters at all when finding a method to root. thanks guys

Try looking at YouTube. Search for QBKing77. He does lots of how to videos on rooting, flashing ROMs, and other general tips. Now, he may not have a US Cellular version of how to root, but at least it will give you an idea as to the general steps. He is a whole new breed of awesome when it comes to stuff like this!!!

I would delete all files you downloaded previously, and download all files this site suggests. I followed their rooting process for the S3, and it worked.

i looked at the galaxys4root and the only problem is that the one they have for us cellular is schr930 and mine is schr970 so i dont want to try to root mine with the schr930 version because im not sure if it was a typo or if they actually use the r930 to root the r970
and that is using the twrp method as the site suggests the qbking one is using motochopper which i tried with no success

I will try it out later this week. I wish US Cellular had the Google Play Store edition available. I will probably us CM if I cannot find a ported Google Play edition ROM.
