Well on a global scale i found the fusion case from Ringke impressive.
I am from India and that was a little too much i like to spend for a phone cover (Rs.1200+):-! even though i bought the ph for 24k or so
So after a little research i purchased a case that does its job really well surprisingly from eBay.
Got it delivered in 2 days and Its a crystal clear case which definitely looks great on my Nexus 4, bought it for less than half the amount (Rs.400 or so) :D
Check it out,

I've tried the Ballistic case, official bumper and a cruzerlite tpu case. They were all OK but I really like the phone naked. I just have a dbrand skin on back and carry it in a nice leather and felt sleeve I got from etsy.com

I just bought the Nexus 4 and I'm not sure what case to get. I 've seen your suggestions, I am considering Ringke fusion as my one of my choices. I think i prefer something more like Poetic's slimbook. Has anyone tried Tetded's Troyes or Dijon III cases? I have been accident prone lately with my previous phone, I 'd hate to see something happening to my Nexus.

I've also been a bit accident prone lately - kept my previous phone in perfect condition for over 2 years, but in the past few months managed to drop it several times (once on concrete). Coming from a phone with a 4 inch screen, the Nexus 4 pushes the limits of what I'd prefer to carry around, so adding a bulky case is out of the question for me. Something like the bumper makes the phone even larger while still leaving the glass back largely exposed.

I ended up buying a Ringke Slim case and while I haven't (yet) dropped it, I'm pleased with the quality and think it offers a good compromise between bulk and protection (bulk meaning almost none, and protection meaning decent wear and tear protection and modest drop protection). I had previously used several Incipio Feather cases, but they were very thin, brittle and all of them developed cracks before too long. The plastic of the Slim seems to be less brittle and a bit thicker. No, it's not going to protect as well as a more full case, but it's a compromise I'm willing to live with. I'll just be extra careful.

I bought the Diztronics TPU case in Matte Black and it fits perfectly and appears to offer good protection. Amazon.com: Diztronic Matte Back Translucent Smoke Flexible TPU Case for LG Nexus 4 - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

What I like about it most is that it isn't too big, so with the case on , my Nexus fits into the Leather Holster which I bought that attaches to my belt. There is no way the holster can fall or unclip as the belt goes though two loops in the holster.
That is exactly the same case and color I got! I used a Diztronic on my S2 since [almost] the day I got it, and it protected the phone from the three drops my phone experienced -- two only from the couch to the floor -- including the one from my hand to the concrete... you know what happened? Nothing; the case was slightly scratched -- phone still looks new.

I'm still in need of a case. This phone is the equivalent to a Jedi's lightsaber. It is my life lol. Anyways, i'm set and made my mind up on the Ringke Fusion case. Check it out on amazon. It is sexxxyyy.

I've had the N4 since late March and had been using the Cruzerlite Clone Army case (in the Smoke color) for the past six months and it fit just great without adding any bulk. Recently, I bought a case off of ebay that is absolutely perfect. It's so good, I ended up buying another just so I'd have a spare. It ships from Hong Kong and it's not branded, but it's one of the most stylish and quality cases I've come across for the N4 at a great price.
