Does anyone have some good places to buy class 8 or 10 micro SD cards?
Seems like the higher end cards are hard to find in 16Gb capacity....
I also refuse to deal with eBay or Craigslist scammers..

Thanks !!

is there really any substantial benefits to using a class 10 in a smartphone? i know for my dslr its helpful for the higher classes to write faster and read faster because your dealing like 14 megapixels but does it make that big of difference in the phone?

i didnt think of this before but im assuming this is beneficial for running apps off the sd card lol temporary brain lapse i still have yet to install apps to the card havent had to.

Dunno about the class 10 but it sure won't hurt.
I have read several HD video filming problems with class 2 due to write speed apparently.
I changed from a class 2 to a class 4 and did notice faster and smoother
performance so I'd definetely be willing to try a class 6 or 10 just to see.

hmm havent had any issues with class 4 and hd recording. yea i was just curious if i was overlooking some benefit.

Yeah, you should be good to go, the issue with HD recording was on a
class 2 because it couldn't write fast enough and slowed the frame
rate of the video recording.

true guess that why i wasnt really worried about the class. thats why i was wondering why you were searching for a class 10.

im trying to hold out for like a class 6 32gb at a decent price class 4 works good for now but for long term i think the class 6 wouldnt hurt.

Ended up getting a 32Gb Lexar Class 10 Card, man this thing is smokin' fast!!

Thanks for the replies

I have a class 10 16GB and had a class 4 8GB and have not noticed much in the way of speed differences.

Where did you buy from?

Here's info on the card I got:
Lexar Media Introduces the 32GB Class 10 High-Speed Mobile microSDHC Card for Mobile Phones | Lexar

I got it on Amazon for $99 here

Amazon.com: Lexar High Speed MicroSDHC 32 GB Class 10 Flash Memory Card with Reader LSDMI32GBSBNAR: Electronics

I definetely noticed a speed increase coming from a SanDisk Class 4 card to this class 10....especially if coming from a super slow class 2.
When you scroll through the gallery fast, you can't get ahead of the thumbnails, they load like instantly now...incredible!! :D

I will recommend this site for all your purchasing needs ;) but AMAZON is the 'clearing my throat', cheaper place to go to... Sorry AC :/

I hear ya. I got batteries for my DInc on Amazon for $9.00 each. At that price I bought 3. I did get my charging stand from the AC store though. Can't beat the $24 price tag.

Ok I'm interested in switching out my cards. Is there anything special I need to do to transfer data? Or is it a simple copy from current card to comupter, then computer to new card?

I have some apps on my SD...should I put them back on my phone? Then put them back on my new card?

1)Just save all the contents of the SD to a file on your computer.
2)Format the new SD to FAT32 if needed
3) copy all the saved files to it.
4)Reinstall.

I think the process is a little faster plugging the SD into the computer if you can.

Good luck!

I have found that recording and/or playing back 720p video is a little slow on the frame rate.

Sound like my next card is going to be higher then a class 2...
