Is there a guide or what's everyone's best practices for backing up my S25U so I can wipe it and try to restore it just to get an app to work (ridicules I know). I have over 600GB of stuff on it. I'm also trying to be better about unloading crap I don't use/need anymore.

Thanks in advance

As others have said Smart Switch is the go to for Samsung phones. You can even back up to a USB -C drive with SS and set the phone on a wireless charger while it backs up.
But really you should offload all that data to a cloud service for convivence and data protection. What would happen if your phone was stolen or dropped in water or just died.....

man... that process was painful. it kept failing and disconnecting. i eventually had to do individual backups, took a lot less than 8 hours. but in the process, I was forced to make a backup of my messages to a USB device directly on my phone, which was created, but then when I went to restore it, it wasn't finding the messages or any of the backup files. I can see them when I mount the usb drive and explore it, but not in SmartSwitch. And then, it didn't move all of my other media files back, and some of my contacts are also not right. all after a restore of the backup files it made. smh.
