yes that is how it will go, when you get your phone you submit the information on the samsung promotion page.

For me i went with Verizon directly for $350. This saves me $480 over two years in service charges so it's like Verizon is paying me to get the phone. Note that i am on the old UDP plan.

I stopped by BB and asked if they are matching Verizon's trade in promo. The rep said they are not matching Verizon, they are only offering a $100 discount on a DPP.

Don't know. I got my Note 7 from my carrier and I actually returned it shortly before all the drama went down. When the first reports started coming out, I had a bad feeling and took it back and wanted to see what happened. Well we know what happened. But the way Best Buy handled the preorder is another reason I'm skeptical with them. Of course they took my preorder but they didn't have enough stock on release day. I cancelled and went over to my carrier store and picked up one. This happened to me with some iPhone preorders and Galaxy S7 edge.

Got excited for 2 minutes last night - came home and found a box from Verizon in my mailbox. It was an empty box to return my trade in after I get my S8 +

Last year I got an iPhone for my MIL from BestBuy because they still had it in stock and VZW was out of stock and afterwards was still able to redeem a VZW promo offer on a trade in. This time I called VZW and asked if I could do that again to get BestBuy's discounted price plus the VZW promo trade in and they told me I had to buy direct from VZW to get the promo on the trade in.

On the 30th I also jumped on the Galaxy S8 plus for 15 a month (Verizon).
That's a total 480 in savings. I do however have to turn in my 7 edge.

For the Best Buy preorder they are supposedly knocking off $100 on the price of the phone. Well the Verizon model retails for $840. Best Buy is offering it for $29.83 for 24 months. This comes out to 715.92. So they're actually knocking off ~$125. Is this right? Lol.
