Just wanted to hear what you guys think about at&t dragging their feet updating phones. Personally I think they want the LG g flex 2 in the stores first. So you spend your money on that..Hell they might even wait for the LG g4 to drop

Not too big into conspiracy theories so I'll just go with they need to make some bug fixes and the hang up might be with Google, LG or AT&T. And would prefer it to be late and correct vs. early and full of bugs. (I remember the update to the Droid X, back in my Verizon days, and talk about killing a phone for a few months...)

Has any US manufacturer updated the LG G3 to 5.0, yet?

The nexus came out with lollipop with plenty of bugs they still sold that. The g3 still have bugs on kit kat. Its not a conspiracy it's called business. The want your money. We will see soon when the flex 2 is released.

But why single out AT&T? What other providers have updated the LG G3 to 5? If I'm not mistaken the Nexus is sold as is from Google and there is basically no interface with the software between the providers and google on the phone. Whereas, with the LG, Motorola's etc., there is a software interface between the google version and the version on the phone.
So, in the case of LG, I believe google, LG and AT&T need to get involved to at least make the bugs minimum.

I think AT&T is waiting for Lollipoop to have less poo and more pop. They can continue to "drag their feet" if that translates into a stable and well-performing release. ...unlike much of what I'm reading about.

Meanwhile people are building their own versions of Lollipop to flash with great success.

And they all have bugs to a greater or lesser extent.

Yes, a few bugs for non-professional, one to five man teams of people doing it for free. Compare that to a corporation with a staggering budget, manpower, and resources.

Ultimately this comes down to money. A company isn't going to invest a lot of time and money into something they can't even sell you. It's a free update, remember.

Verizon has yet to upgrade....
Be careful what you wish for.
Lollipop is not life altering, have been running it for some time on my Nexus 7.
Currently my G3 operates perfectly and does everything I need it do. Getting Lollipop will not alter my needs or how I use the phone and at this point one "glitch" will be one more that I currently have.
Update obsession is a losing game.

I'm not criticizing the developers at all. But if things that don't work are critical to the user, it doesn't matter who built the ROM. For example, all the AOSP Lollipop ROMs for the Sprint G3 have Bluetooth issues, and GPS problems are pretty common, too. NFC still isn't working. Those issues might not matter to some people, but lack of reliable BT is a killer for me.

Best reason.... If it's not broke, don't fix it

I know you're not. Just pointing out what some fail to see.

Still no lollipop for the at&t huh. I wonder what their waiting for? Maybe lg g flex 2? Or even the lg g4.

Just got android 5 on my nexus 7 and it tends to run slow so I have to keep shutting down. I'd rather wait until the big ate fixed before I upgrade my G3.
