Best settings for audio in my truck?

I want to sue my Note 2 as my radio plugged in to my trucks Alpine radio but it sounds muffled throught the radio? Anyone have any ideas, I have the Alpine C..-134HD.

Are you just using an AUX input?

Have you tried tweaking the settings on the equalizer on your phone? Not sure exactly where it would be on your Note 2, but if there isn't one built in, you can use the Google Play Music app, or Poweramp, both those have built-in EQs.

Also, if by "muffled" you mean distorted, turn down the volume on your Note a couple of notches. My personal experiences with many phones and headunits is that if the device plugged into the AUX input is cranked all the way up, it will really degrade the sound quality.
 
I meant to say I am using pandora and not a stock music app, and ive tried turning the sound down on my phone and up on my radio but it still sounds kinda muffled like its nor getting a good signal in.

Im on sprint so signal in the upstate if sc is pretty bad at its best and I always have the high quality option on, I dont see how people listen with out it haha, im gonna play with some of my radios settings and see if I can get it any better.
