Looking to purchase a new tablet and was wondering what good tablets are on the market?

I'm coming from a Nexus 7 2013 as the screen cracked due to a fatal drop.

Looking at the Nexus 9 but wondering if there are any other good tablets out there?

Thought about getting another N7 but looking for something a bit "newer" so to speak.

What's the best flavor of ice cream? That's what you're asking.

Best for what? In whose opinion?

The NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet is by far the best option on the market at any price - but it also comes at a great price. $299 for a 16GB WiFi or $399 for a 32GB LTE version.

A very respectable looking 8" 1080p display, front facing speakers, straight up amazing NVIDIA Tegra K1 GPU & 2.2 GHz Quad A15 CPU, mini-HDMI output and included stylus. This thing is made for gaming and has some fantastic tricks it can do with some other devices, but even on its own merits there isn't another tablet that comes close to this much awesome yet. It also has an optional magnetic smart cover and SHIELD controller - the controller also doubles as a PC controller. Both tablet and controller are compatible with the new SHIELD console as well.

I am inclined to agree with the Shield. The Nexus 9 might not be a bad choice either.

I've been really happy with my shield tablet so far. The nexus 9 is a good choice, but is more expensive and a little bigger, which could be a pro or a con.

I as well broke my nexus 7...drunken rage throw... :).....

Anyway... I picked up Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 .... Screen is amazing... It sold it for me..... Octo core expos processor.....

.. But the screen... Amazing..

Dont like touchwiz.. And miss vanilla android.. But have nexus 5 as well...

Would never put up with touchwiz on a phone... But it's not bad on a tablet
