Best text messaging app?

Re: text messaging app with expanding text field/box?

Does anyone know of an app that will show your entire text as you type it? I don't want to scroll through my text to add or make changes. I only have 4 lines of text showing at a time, don't want to buy a new phone, but can't deal the such a limitation. Please help. I have looked at textra and it is only 3 lines. Please anyone can you help find an app that shows your text while typing?!!

Textra over stock, Go SMS, and Handcent. Accompany Textra with Mighty Text and I am very happy.

Textra as far as a stand alone app. But I use Google Hangouts now so I can get used to using stock and love it as well! They both have their minor small issues but over all they are both GREAT choices!

Have you ever been accused of mass texting your friends? With MasSMS, impersonal mass text messages will be a thing of the past. MasSMS allows users to customize mass text messages to include each of your recipient's name within the message. This feature will allow users to mass text large groups of people while still personalizing the experience for the end-recipient.

Stock Nexus Hangouts!

Hangouts is not a text messaging app, a.k.a. a texting app, a.k.a. an SMS app.
Hangouts is an 'Instant Messaging' app, a.k.a. an 'IM' app.

Text messaging/texting/SMS uses mobile networks. Always! Even if you're on WiFi. Which can end up very expensive.
IM uses the internet. Which is free. Whatever the size of your messages.
On the plus side for texting/SMS: it also works when there is no internet (WiFi) available where you are.

My fav SMS/texting app is Handcent (free).
My fav IM apps are Telegram and Viber (both free).
All available in the Play Store.

For a long time I used hangouts and loved it. Recently it started to get slow it just won't send mms, turned on Samsung stock messaging app and iv been loving it. I never knew that upon receiving a text message I get a small window that I can reply without opening the app. This was one feature that I always looked for in roms back when the s3 came out.
