Best twitter app?

Tweetdeck is convenient for me since I use Twitter, Facebook, and Foursquare. However I still use Twidroyd for tweets with mentions because it has lists my friends I follow as I type. Once Tweetdeck has that I probably won't be using Twidroyd much.

I like Twidroyd a lot. It has the best feature of any Twitter app and that is the LiveView function. While reading my Tweets, I never have to leave the application to go to the browser. The links open right up in Twidroyd, basically instantly. It does literally everything I can think of in a Twitter application. I suggest all of you try it for a day and see how great it is.

I've been trying out all of the Twitter apps and the best one for me is Twicca. It's very simple but you can also customize a lot of the functions.

TweetCaster is my choice. I love that it remembers where I was in reading tweets when I open the app up, even though it may be loading new ones. Plus it is very customizable.

Twitdroyd aka twitdroid pro is the winner @ this point with the LivePreview integration and its very user friendly in my opinion...

For someone who just follows and occassionally retweets or tweets rarely, I find Seasmic to be excellent. Very simple and uncluttered for the non-power user.

Toutieur!! I have tried them all. I use Tweetdeck on my IPOD and my desktop, and it ijust doesn't look as nice, and it seems more cluttered on the ANDROID APP!

Tried them all.

Oh and the next version which is currently in testing will be awesome.

Touiteur, Tweetcaster, &Twidroyd- Doesn't show when someone is following you back or when someone "Native" Retweets you. Touiteur doesn't even show saved searches. Uninstalled.

Seesmic- Doesn't show you who is following you back. Uninstalled.

Twicca- has EVERY function imaginable EXCEPT,when you get "Native" Retweeted, you won't know WHO Retweeted it. (Just like Seesmic).

Tweetdeck- shows "Native" Retweets in your mentions, just like "Editable" Retweets (and shows WHO Retweeted u... unlike Twicca). When you go to someone's page, you can see if they follow u, u follow them, or BOTH. Plus u SWYPE through colums. U can save Lists, Searches, or Someone's else's Timelines or "Mentions" as a column. No Trends or AutoComplete tho...but I can live without that, versus having other features I need.

With that being said, I'm back & forth between Twicca & Tweetdeck

Been using tweetdeck for about a week or two (whenever they put it on the market). It's probably the best android app I've used in terms of all the little interface touches. I love it. It also offers the most customization in terms of notifications.

Before that I used the official twitter client, which seems to get the job done. Not a lot of bells and whistles on that one.

I really disliked the bundled samsung twitter application. Kind of a hog and not poorly executed in terms of UI.

I have friends who swear by the launcher pro twitter widgets (in the paid version), so that's certainly an avenue to explore if you're using launcher pro.

Touiteur, hands down, no question. Besides the best interface IMO, the widgets blow anybody else out of the water. The only downside for me is no FB integration but it's not that big of deal honestly.

I use TweetCaster, and think it is very good. I don't want to update my Facebook with my tweets, nor any other social media outlet. I just want to tweet, retweet, mention, etc., and TweetCaster does that. I did like HTC Peep when I had my myTouch 3G slide (I currently have the G2), since it was pretty good for a HTC "stock" app. I use the official Twitter app for another account, but that is strictly outgoing tweets (no retweets, no replies, no mentions, no trends). However, after reading this thread, I might look into Tweetdeck

Those issues might or might not be fixed in the next Touiteur update ;)
That is all I can say.

That might be coming soon.
Many are requesting it.

I'm looking for a customizable and themable widget. I don't really care about the app itself, as I want to get most of my up-to-date info just by looking at the homescreen.

Unfortunately, most of the widgets I've found that are in the market are pure rubbish. The best widgets so far, IMHO are:

1) Peep:

Pros: Great looks, readability and best UX overall.
Cons: Not customizable, not feature rich, works only with HTC Sense home, doesn't support multiple accounts

2) Twitter (for LauncherPro Plus):

Pros: Good scrolling list UI, resizeable widget, implements all the basic features needed for a simple twitter client in the widget itself
Cons: Not very customizable, doesn't support multiple accounts, works only on LaucherPro Plus

3) Tweetcaster:

Pros: Good UI, automatic tweet rotation (slideshow)
Cons: the header is a big waste of precious widget space (could be more like LP plus or Peep), lack of a scrolling list widget

4) Touiteur:

Pros: Lots of widget sizes
Cons: UI not that great - fonts can be improved. Tweets are displayed in list format but doesn't scroll or rotate. You can manually go to the next set of tweets but you can't go back to the previous set!

5) Pure Messenger:

Pros: Lots of widget sizes, scrolling list, highly customizable and themable UI
Cons: Using this as a pure twitter-only widget is really annoying. Every tweet has a un-removable and unnecessary header that makes the list very cluttered.

My situation: As I'm currently using LanucherPro Plus, my twitter widget needs were met very well - until I decided to create a second account. Unfortunately LPP doesn't support multiple-accounts yet so I've had to look for a different widget. Tweetcaster was the next best choice for me. It has rotating tweet display, the fonts are pretty good and the widget itself is somewhat customizable, with a choice between three themes.

So have anyone come across other *decent* twitter widgets that's worth taking a look at? (I've already tried out the ones mentioned in this thread before this post..)
