Ok, I used Launcher Pro on my 1st Gen Epic and I liked how the phone gave me the option to use stock android if I wanted to. When I tried to do the same on the Maxx, I never got that option. Did Motorola disable that? Is there a way, without rooting, to have stock android on the Maxx? I don't really care so much now, but when the ICS update comes, I would like to run just stock android if possible. Thanks in advance.

I think you would have to root to get that but i'm not 100% sure of that.

Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.

The only thing moto home fix does is allow you to reset the motoblur launcher as default if you have other launchers installed on your phone.

I don't care what kind of phone you use, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence.

Moto didn't skin ics very much. There's little to no dif between nexus ics and motos ics. Give it a try.

I would, but you see us Maxx owners are in the midst of a staring contest waiting for ICS to finally push out. It's been fairly well documented in these forums. Rest assured that once we finally get it, I'll do just that.

So, when you installed and hit the home button, it didn't prompt you to select either your stock or your installed launcher?

It did, but the only choices were ADW and the Motorola launcher already present on the Maxx. I'm looking for Android that hasn't been tainted by a custom user interface. The Motorola CUI isn't bad, but I love vanilla Android.
